Who missed me? lol!
I've been in the middle of a huge cross country move and just today got internet set up at our new house. The cable people come to turn on the TV on Friday.. and then we're done.
The move went pretty well. I about killed my mother a few times when I was staying with her, but I got through it. The flight to CA went really well, Ali was great the whole time. Our plane from SF to Monterey was a bit delayed (by 3 hours.. for a 22 minute flight), but we got there eventually. Our stuff got to the house the evening I got there. A couple things were broken (bowls and such) and they broke Ali's crib. I was pretty mad about that.. it's juryrigged for now, but they're replacing it.
Bobby's class is going well so far, he's enjoying it. Only 3 people in the whole class, including him. He's class leader which means he has a few extra responsibilities, but nothing too serious. I've been baking stuff for him to take to class, the guys seem to appreciate it. The rough part is that the section he's about to begin is taught by the native speakers, so many of them are observing Ramadan right now.
Ali is doing great, she's still tiny, maybe 21 lbs, but man is she into everything. She's walking everywhere now, she only crawls if she's feeling silly, and even then she doesn't use her knees. She says Mama, Dada, fish, kitty, yay, hi, and no. She knows a bunch of signs and is getting really good at telling me what she wants. She still gets frustrated if I'm not understanding her, and when she's blocked off from where she wants to go. The new house is all wood floors, so she loves stomping around and making lots of noise. Fortunately, our neighbors (we live in a duplex) have kids, so they understand that and the sleep issues we're having.
I think that about covers everything... glad to finally be back online for real and not just from my phone!
