I just decided to give Juliana some almond milk just to see if she would take it. It's her first time having any milk other than mommy's.
I gave her a sippy cup with about 2 oz. of 3/4 breast milk and 1/4 almond milk. She drank it all and made the sign for more. Next I tried a 50/50 mix. Again, she drank it all and ask for more. Feeling brave, I poured 100% almond milk next and she drank that too! I thought this would be a months-long process. For once, Juliana is going easy on me about something!
I'm still nursing on demand and I still have a lot of frozen milk to use up so I'll probably continue the 50/50 mix for a while, but it's refreshing to know we won't have problems with this.
