I know this is related to her teething pain and I also know that 12-18 months is usually the height of separation anxiety but she has seriously been attached to me for the past 2 weeks!! If I am in the kitchen trying to do anything, she has her arms tightly around my leg. If I am using the bathroom and the door is open she is practically on my lap. I keep throwing things out so she can get them and amuse herself, but she just "fetches" them and brings them back to me. If I close the door, she sits outside and cries. Right now she is right next to me whining and grabbing at me. When we wake up in the morning instead of playing in the room, she will literally sit on me for 20 minutes trying to get me up.

Anyone else going through this??? Geez, cut the cord already kid!

I wish London would do this more to me honestly, because it makes my heart melt when she does. She normally is into her toys or her brother.

Yep...this is Aidyen exactly!! It's really hard but I just try to remember that there will be a day where he won't want me to hold him. He's been doing this since around 8 months! The other day I was trying to do dishes and he was standing in front of me literally trying to push me away from the sink. Definitely there with you...it will get better

Its so bad its making me long for the days when she doesn't want me to hold her. I mean, I know when that happens I'll be sad, but I just don't get it. Surely there are more interesting things to do than to be on top of me 24-7. Maybe I should get her a puppy or something? I'm just afraid that'll backfire and the dog will be on top of me too.

Yes. I work from home and every time she seems me she'll run over and cling and not want to let go. I have to try to remember to bring my drinks and snacks up to my office for the day and not come down constantly for little things or I'll never get work done. And she doesn't just want me to pick her up, she wants me to nurse her. And yeah, I've pooped with her sitting on my lap because she just wouldn't have it any other way. I guess my poop must not smell too bad!

Yes! It's ridiculous! If he's not sleeping he's climbing up my leg or crying because we can't hold him. He's not picky though, either DH or I is fine. He's teething like crazy and I can't tell if it's the pain or he just wants to be held. But he wants us to stand and hold him. If we sit down he loses his mind!
