Can anyone tell me if this sounds like Mastitis?
One of my boobs is really sensitive to the touch ( like it is bruised really bad or something) and letdown is pretty painful and it is a little painful to breastfeeding Isaac.

Oh dear, poor you. Do you feel ill? Do you have a fever? I read you get a sore red area on the boob that hurts. Do you have that? It could very well be mastitis. Maybe it's the beginning stage? You could call the Dr and maybe they can tell you something over the phone? But try to take your temp. KUP. And I hope it's nothing.

The one time I had mastitus I could feel a lump in my breast, but I don't think you have to have the lump in order for it to be mastitus. I would call, just to see what they think is going on.
Hope is goes away fast!

No lump in the breast that I can feel. And it's not red or hot. As far as other symptoms (flu like feelings) it's hard to tell because I did yoga for the first time in a long time yesterday and so I'm sore all over and Isaac was up more than usual last night so I'm more tired than usual. I get headaches all the time so it's hard to tell if that is a symptom or not.
Either way, I made an appointment for 4pm (MST) because if it is Mastitis, I want to catch it before it gets really bad.

It doesn't sound fun, whatever it is! I was going to guess that it might be a clogged duct, but if you don't have a lump, I'm not sure.

Good luck at the doc....hope you are feeling better soon!

If there's no lump, it could be a bleb where the pore that exits the nipple is clogged. I had that twice and the first time I thought it was a clogged duct, but was confused because there was no lump.
