Day in the Life of Ty

Our DILTO was last Thursday but I am just now able to post the pics from it. Our day happened to fall on a day Amber was off work and we went to the ocean.

As told by "Ty".

Here I am sleeping in my bed that I share with my mommy and daddy. See my sister Julia sleeping in her bed along side ours. This was taken at 6am right before I woke up for the day. We had to get an early start so we could make the 2 1/2 hour drive to the ocean.

This is Julia and I playing in my giant "playpen" while mommy packs things up for our trip.

I found another neat carpet fiber that I like to look at intently in my tent.

Its taking mommy forever to get packed up and I am bored now so she has my other sister Nicole come in and play with me for a while.

Time to eat breakfast before we go. I only eat pureed baby food still. Anytime mommy tries to give me anything that has a remote type of texture or resembles table food at all, I look at her like she has grown 3 heads and refuse to even try it.

Oh look I am getting sleeeeeppy...but a look into the future says that even though I am tired, I will refuse to sleep for another 3 hours yet and instead, scream the whole way to the ocean!! Oh yes the fun!!

Now I am done eating and its time to go.

Mommy took no pics of the 2 1/2 hour drive to the ocean. Trust her that I screamed the whole way, as I hate carseats and long drives you know. But mommy says I better get used to it because we go to the ocean a lot in our family since mommy says it "home" and "paradise" to her. I finally did fall asleep about 15 minutes before we got there.

We own a couple acres of property that has been in our family for over 100 years. It was my mommys grandpas house until he died 6 years ago. We always stop there to check things out before and after the beach since its only 20 minutes away and its on the way to the beach.

We also stop at the cemetary on the way to give flowers and say hi to my mommys grandparents that she misses so much.

Finally at the beach. I am now sleeping.

Since I am sleeping, they decide to take our favorite walk in the woods and push me in the stroller first so I can keep napping...or so they think.

We hadnt even started our walk yet, when I decided I had enough napping, and woke up. but I sure am cute!

I dont want to be in the stroller anymore, shocking at that is ha!, so Amber carries me on our walk.

Here is an 800 year old tree that is great for climbing!

My mommy loves this beach because one side is the ocean, and another, just a few feet away, is a fresh water lake! This state park is also right next to Whidbey Island Naval Air Station (mommy loves the military as her whole family has been in it) and mommys dad was stationed there when he was in the Navy and met my mommys mom. We get to hear and watch the fighter planes fly around all day long while we are at the beach. A wonderful sound and sight.

Here we are on the ocean side. This is mommys favorite side, but Julia loves to swim in the lake more.

Lunchtime is in my stroller while I eat yummy jarred baby food. Ignore my pink bib. It happens to the best of men when you have an older sister.

After lunch I decided there was no way I wanted back in the playpen.

So Amber was going to walk me to sleep

But instead I decided to poop my pants, so mommy took me to the van to change me

I still needed a nap, but this time, my mommy nursed me to sleep right there on the beach. Yes she nurses in public if she must If you dont like it, dont look she says.

Ahhh asleep.

Mommy and sissys relaxed at the beach while I napped, then it was about 6pm and time to head home. Mommy took no pics but we went to McDonalds for dinner, then drove home. I was pretty good on the trip home and Nicole entertained me the whole way.

When we got home, mommys best friend of 30 years was waiting for us at our house to pick up my exersaucer and some toys I dont play with to give to her baby granddaughter. Mommy gives all my things I out grow to her best friends daughters baby. Her friend Ronda wondered why mommy took this photo of her standing there.

Then me and Julia played around in the playpen for a while until it was time for bed

S says she can relate to not wanting to be tied down, whether it be a carseat, stroller or playpen! She also wants to know if Ty ate that carpet fiber because she will!

Thanks for sharing Tyla! I love seeing all the pics of your girls helping and playing with Ty! That's so great. Love the family bed too

You can count Eli in to the hating the carseat club.

It looks like you guys had a wonderful day! My girls would think they were in Heaven if we could just drive for the day to the ocean. My favorite pic is of Ty when he's about to chuck Sophie the Giraffe out of his play pen.

Glad Ty has friends who also hate to be contained in anyway

And no he didnt eat that one because I got to it first, but gaurenteed he has eaten many of them that I never got a way from him! Along with whatever else of crap is on the floor!

He did do that numerous times, I just didnt add those pics LOL
