Yes and while it was a bit rough at first it turned really quick and became painless.
I could technically take the bottle away 100% now but I am to lazy to do so. So she gets 2 bottles. Her morning bottle and last bottle for the day. She also is on half an half so the can of formula I have is the very last one. So no more formula after that one is gone.

We weaned from nursing at 9 months I'm still sad we didn't make it till one, but with the fight I had to put up to make it to 9 months, those 9 were well worth it.
We are working on taking the bottle away. I'm kinda being lazy about introducing milk and such. I'm in denial he is almost one.

No, I haven't decided yet when exactly that is going to happen but not until he's 1 at least (we're still breastfeeding and he loves it so he's not going to want to wean for a while is my guess).

No I havent, We offer sippy cups but hes more into playing with the cup than actually drinking from it. if its the only thing offered and he really wants it then he will drink from it, but he would prefer to have a bottle

Nope. She likes playing with the sippy cups, but she just doesn't drink as much from them. She will drink all of her bottle, whereas she will only drink like 1/4 of her sippy.
She is 100% on whole milk now (unless we run out, then I just give her formula), but she just prefers it in a bottle.

breast yes, bottle no.
I am happy I reached my goal of one year, I only bf'ed for 3 months with DD. I was supplementing with formula bottle from 9mos on though. he liked to breastfeed all night long.
now he gets a bottle with milk in it. I will try to wean him from the bottle during the day at least once summer ends and we are back on our "normal" routine. summer is always different for us because we are always on the move.

As soon as summer break started, I gave him a sippy cup and that was the end of that.
Today I went back to work and only only gets the breast in the morning and when I return. I will not be pumping anymore.

I really think i want to nurse Sam until he's two, but i don't have much support. I enjoy nursing, i feel like finally it's something i can do right.

It's really nothing between 1 to 2 bc by the time they're 18 m/o they only grab a 5 min snack at naps and bedtime and for the next 6 months you ever so slightly remove a feeding ever so often so that by the time you take it completely away you're only BFing them twice daily for 5 min a session anyhow.
I like it bc it feels more natural (for me) to stop at that age and they get the immunities for a while longer.
I have given Heidi juice since about 8/9 m/o in a bottle and just the other day started with the sipper cup. She seems to love the control she has over the cup.
As for you not having much support: I would just explain to whomever has issues with it that it'll *help* keep him from getting sick for the next year and also "My boobies, my choice"

Sort of (from the breast, he never took a bottle)
This week is the first week of my new job and I am gone from 7AM to 1PM to he doesn't nurse for about 6 hours, so we are well on our way toward day-weaning. I am trying to get it down to one nursing session around lunchtime when I get home, and then not nursing again until bed time (around 7PM). We still co-sleep and he nurses 2-3 times at night but I know he is not ready to give that up so I am okay with night nursing for a while longer, possibly until he is 2 and/or self weans.
The challenge (in day weaning) is getting him to eat more solid food, we put him in his high chair 3x per day and give him table foods but he only rarely eats them, oddly. We have tried many fruits, veggies, pastas, beans, cheese, etc, and the kid just doesn't love food. I am hoping he will start to get hungry when I'm at work and will be forced to eat, cause I am NOT pumping at this stage. He takes a sippy well but will only drink water, he hates cows milk.
