What is your favorite brand...the one you always find yourself going for? I haven't tried tons of different brands but I use a combination of flips and thirsties duo wraps. I've been having issues with the thirsties lately so I am always grabbing my flips.

What tips/advice would you give someone who has never clothed diapered and is thinking about doing so? Buy one or two of a couple different brands you want to try so you can get a feel of what works on your kid the best. Go to the cloth diapering board and read the reviews (I wish I had done that when I was still pregnant so I would have avoided G-diapers). Get a diaper sprayer (really!), we love ours and can't imagine cloth diapering without it.

What have you liked/disliked about cloth diapering? I love not having to buy diapers constantly (we use disposables when he gets a terrible rash or on long trips) and there are less chemicals touching his skin. The only part I'm getting frustrated with right now is that the washer and dryers they put in the complex suck and we've been having issues with detergent build up and getting them clean. If you have a good washer (and find a good detergent) it won't be an issue though.

What is your favorite brand...the one you always find yourself going for? FuzziBunz Perfect Size, Charlie Banana, Bumgenius 3.0 AIO's (Charlie Banana & FuzziBunz are IDENTICAL --- so much so that I think FB is suing CB, someone who worked at FB is the CEO of FB, lol, dramaz!!!)

What tips/advice would you give someone who has never clothed diapered and is thinking about doing so? Buy one of each diaper that you want to use or that you would think you would use, and make sure you change a poo and a pee diaper before you make your decision. I was stupid and blew a ton on BumGenius Organic Elemental Diapers ($25 a pop) and HATED them, but then some people LOVE them. Just try and decide what *YOU* truly like vs. someone else opinion. The plus side is when you make purchasing mistakes, most diapers are super easy to resell. Get a good detergent and good wetbag. Invest in a Diaper sprayer. Bio-Kleen BacOut is a must.

Also, don't necessarily buy into the "one size" diapers. Some people like them but really and truly a lot of the diapers that are sized are really only TWO different sizes. Sophie is in Medium FB Perfect Size, they go from 15-30 pounds...that's a huge range. I hate the OS ones that FB makes, I never would have tried the sized ones if it wasn't for the cute patterns LOL :X

There's not really that much I disliked about CDing, other than once you get into it buying diapers is like a crazy addiction (I have over 50 diapers now, omg) but it's a LOT of fun....I will fully admit I'm in it for the cuteness factor. There are ways to go about it cheaper than I have so I really haven't saved any money this time around, Baby #2 is when we'll "feel" the savings a bit more.

I HATE gDiapers too, like they have an awesome marketing department because they truly make those bad boys look awesome LOL --- I love Flips too!

I have a wide variety of diapers and most of them I bought used off of Craigslist. I find I like different kind of diapers for different things. I like pockets and All in One's for going out but I like prefolds, fitteds, and contours with covers for when we are at home. I have at least one of each of the following diapers (off the top of my head):
FuzziBunz One Size
Thirsties Duo Wrap Diaper
Kushie's AIO's (toddler size)
Kawaii OS pockets
Tiny Tush OS pocket
TweedleBugs OS pocket
Knickernappies OS and Med pockets
AMP OS diaper
Bummis whisper pant
Bummis Super Whisper Wrap (Love these!)
Flip Covers (and one organic insert)
MotherEase Air Flow Covers
OsoCozy Prefolds
Kissaluvs Contours (love these with a snappi!)
Drybees Bamboo fitteds

I also have some stay dry BumGenius doublers that I like to use sometimes with my prefolds, contours, and fitteds.

For night time I use a pocket diaper but just wrap a prefold around the insert and that has worked well for us.

I don't have a sprayer but use Kushies flushable liners when I know I'm expecting a poo soon, although occasionally I'll get some bad surprise poos (like just a minute ago) and wish I had a sprayer. I've found Planet liquid detergent works great for us and I can get it at the grocery - but the detergent thing I stressed over for a while and it's trial and error to find the wash routine and detergent that works best for you.

Best advice is check out the CD board for reviews or questions you have. I like to try a bunch of different stuff and I like that I have a variety of things in my stash and can just grab whatever I feel like using at the time.

I really like that I'm not exposing him to all the cloth diaper chemicals all the time and we have hardly had any diaper rash since we started using cloth. The savings are a plus but I still need to use them a while longer before we really recoup our costs because I keep buying more diapers. I like that they're cute too, even though I don't have many pattern diapers or anything. I don't mind putting him in just a t-shirt and diaper around the house, but I never did that with disposables.

I don't like that it's kind of a hassle to travel with sometimes and that they take up a lot more space in the diaper bag. Also, I have to buy bigger size pants and shorts to fit over the cloth. And I don't love cleaning the occasional explosive poopy diaper that didn't have a liner in it. But those are just minor things to me.

My favorites right now are my happy heiny in snaps, my best bottom shell with snap in inserts and my grovia shell. I didn't like happy heiny at first but I had 2 that were the aplix (Velcro) and I hate them but when I ordered diapers a couple weeks ago they sent a free one and it was a happy heiny with snaps and I LOVE it! Happy heiny are a great fit for chunky babes! I also love my bumgenius 4.0's I do not like fuzzibunz one size at all...Aidyen's butt cheeks hang out of them lol they just don't have a good fit.

My advice is to try several different brand and systems. Don't buy just one kind after all variety is the spice of cloth diapering

I love cloth diapering mostly because I love the way they look...I haven't really saved any money yet because I keep buying diapers but like Holly said the savings will come with the next baby. I also like that he doesn't have chemicals against his skin. Buy a diaper sprayer! I learned the hard way and do not enjoy poo in my mouth and feet while spraying them outside with the hose

What is your favorite brand...the one you always find yourself going for? I like the fbs too, holly (and my cbs because like you said they are the same thing lol) but i am also really loving the workhorse fitteds with cute covers! Green Mountain Diapers: Cloth Diapers other than that i do like my grovia ai2s and the baby kicks pockets.

the bgs are ok, i don't find myself reaching for them first at all. same with the kawaii's, wahm mama ones, i have a couple happy heiney ones, a hemp one and then i have some aio that are by the hh company but called something else. again they are ok, not my fav but i definitely do not hate them.

i also am really loving my best bottoms with the hemp snap ins! they absorb SO much.

What tips/advice would you give someone who has never clothed diapered and is thinking about doing so? I would probably try a sampler that had all the different kinds. and like holly said, use them for both pee and poo. see if you like it, if it's something you really want to do.

What have you liked/disliked about cloth diapering? i actually don't dislike anything. sure when she has gross out poos that are soft and a bit runny, it kinda sucks but i just lay it inside the toilet for a couple hours and then shake it off. if it's still pooey, i plop it in a water bucket until the next washing which is every other day so it's not like it sits there and makes a poo soup or anything lol and i don't find it hard to be out and about either, i have a couple cute wet bags and i just roll up the entire diaper, even if there's poop and shove it in the bag and deal with it at home. i love not spending money on sposies, i love that they are reusable, i love that the resell factor is AMAZING and lets face it, a cloth tushy is ADORABLE ♥

I'm a bit useless on the brand advice as I have Australian brands bar my bgs which I do like.

Advice, I've just say research. I looked into how they had to washed, how long they took to dry etc I wanted to be really informed before I made the switch.

There's nothing I don't really love about cloth nappying. I love it and am very happy we made the switch.

Let me just say that I seriously get giddy when someone starts considering using cloth. I'm a pusher....I admit it. It's a good thing I've never tried drugs. LOL!

What is your favorite brand...the one you always find yourself going for? I'd say my Fuzzi Bunz for sure. They're awesome. I also prefer the perfect size over that one size, like others have said. I also love Mother Ease. I like their fitteds and the Sandys for overnight. They are really reasonably priced and work GREAT!

What tips/advice would you give someone who has never clothed diapered and is thinking about doing so? Like everyone else said, try a few different kinds/brands before you commit to buying a bunch of one kind/brand. If you are not opposed to it, you can get some REALLY good deals on the FSOT area over on the cloth diapering board or on diaper swappers on used to get a feel for what you like. I find that most people who use cloth take really really good care of their stuff and are really honest about what type of condition their diapers are in when they try to sell. I'll just add too that it helps a lot to ask lots of questions over on the cd board. Those ladies get just as giddy as I do to talk about their cloth.

What have you liked/disliked about cloth diapering? I love that I don't have to buy and buy and buy diapers. I like that I'll get money back when I decide to sell after Eli potty learns. I like how darn cute they are. I like that Eli doesn't have all the chemicals on his bum. I like the look of dismay on peoples' faces when they realize that I use cloth and how different they are from what cloth use to be like. I like all the different options there are for all price ranges and uses (I only use certain ones for over night, tend to use certain ones when we'll be home all day). I don't really dislike anything. I seriously don't mind rinsing out or washing my diapers. I actually like doing cloth laundry! Once I got my wash routine right and switched to Tide, I haven't had any staining or stinking issues at all.
