Help! We are going to a birthday party on Saturday for a little girl who is turning 4....and I'm 100% clueless about what to even get. I don't know the little girl/hang out with her very much (we are old friends of her parents) so no clue if she's into anything. I'm going for a more generic gift.

We are looking to spend about $20-$25 and it has to be something I can buy at a normal store (we pretty much have everything in Omaha) versus ordering online.

Please help me, esp you all with DDs this age.

MY 4 year old loves art stuff, those pretend make-up things, purses, bracelet and necklace kits (the non-expensive ones for playing with).

I'd say buy a cute little purse, and a pack of bracelets, and clear glitter lip gloss that would make my dd's day-cheap and fun if she is a "girlie-girl" type.

Toys- squinkies, zhu zhu pets/babies, dolls, play doh kits, thats all I can think of right now.

Yeah I agree with crafty things. I would skip any traditional toys. For the necklace kits, Melissa and Doug have some cute ones that are around $6. Or this one Wood Stringing Beads is a hit here too. Have you been to Fat Brain Toys? If not, it's at Village Pointe and it's great. But overall, anything crafty should work great.

Thanks for the tip! We have a return to make at Scheels so we may actually be heading that way.
