I'm am so unbelievably frustrated right now! Yesterday I was super excited because Aidyen ate really well. He ate a mini pancake with some jam on it and a whole yo baby blueberry yogurt for breakfast. For lunch he ate a mini chicken burger, a jar of pear/pineapple baby food and 2 chicken nuggets. So for dinner I was getting his food ready expecting the same thing. I made him sweet carrots and we had shepard's pie so I gave him some of that and the kid spit EVERYTHING out!! and he only ate half of his jar of sweet potatoes. I am really running out of ideas for him. If I gave him mac and cheese everyday for lunch and dinner he would be okay with that, but that can't be healthy can it? I mean its the Annies Organic mac n cheese but still. I just don't get it: he used to love everything. He would eat bananas, avacado, watermelon, grapes, cantelope, peaches, plums, sweet potatoes, strawberries plus lots more. Now he won't eat any of it! He will barely eat his baby pureed food. I am at my wits end with his eating habits. The only thing he ever wants to eat is mac and cheese, yogurt, and any kind of bread or pasta??? I even tried hiding carrots or peas in mashed potatoes and the kid won't even eat the potatoes! He just spits them out...Okay vent over

What about adding pureed carrots or apples to his mac and cheese??

This is a wonderful book : Amazon.com: Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food (9780061251344): Jessica Seinfeld: Books

My library has it and I would recommend reading it. It talks about hiding veggies in foods they love.

Oh and something that drives me completely crazy is that if he doesn't like something or want it he will throw it

yeah -- that book is awesome. Took it out from my library a few months ago -- it seriously gives you ideas to add veggies to anything.

Its difficult for me since Arie knows where her snacks are and the fruit is so when I'm feeding her something else she points to what she wants.

^^^ooh..Sydney does the exact same thing. She'll toss what's on her tray and then point to where she knows stuff she wants is.

I've been meaning to check out that book too. Vincent sounds pretty similar to Aidyen. He'll still eat almost any fruit, looves bread or toast or anything similar (pancakes, waffles, french toast), and will always eat yogurt, but most other stuff is a gamble. So I feel bad because he's been eating a lot of Plum Organics, Sprout, and Ella baby food meals and purees lately because it's so hard to get him enough stuff to eat because I never know what he will want to eat. We had lunch at a friends house and her 1 year old and the 2 year old she watches ate whatever she gave him but Vincent wouldn't eat anything he was offered: sweet potatoes, squash (things he almost always eats), black beans with sour cream, chicken, peas, etc. Not even real mac 'n cheese, so I'm thinking he wasn't hungry at all. He did eat some cheerios, though, and I'm sure if I had offered him some watermelon he would have eaten it.

So anyway, I don't have any advice really but just wanted to say I'm dealing with the same thing.

I have that book sitting right in front of me right now. My favorite thing is is the mashed potatoes with cawliflower. I swear you can't taste a difference at ALL. It is the only way I make them now. I also add zuchinni and spaghetti squash to every batch of spaghetti I make. It really is a very easy way to make the kids like eating veggies (and in my case, make my husband like to eat them too... LOL).
