So DH had hernia surgery a few weeks ago and they used glue on him and his scar is healing almost invisible! He mentioned he didn't think my doctor tried.
I chalked my relatively thick scar (I hadn't thought mine was bad at all until seeing his) up to some keloid scarring but now I'm wondering if it's just poor choices (staples vs glue) and DH is right. Didn't know I was gonna have a c-section so I didn't know what to ask for, but for next time. Maybe it's fixable.
Those of you that had a c-section did they use staples, stitches or glue on the outside?
How did the scar heal?
If you've had more then one how did the second compare?
Glue both times, with steri-strips over it for about a week, and my scar is pretty much invisible a year later. (That is also scar #2, since ive had two c/s)

just glue here. I took the bandage off 2 days after the c-section - I had no steristrips or anything. My scar is pretty much invisible. I am also prone to keloid scars, so I'm pretty happy with the way it's healed!
Wow! I guess DH was right! I'm really disappointed that they weren't more considerate. Hopefully we'll have another LO and I'll get a do over with glue! I love this PR, thanks for sharing
Hmm, I had 3 c-sections. 1st they used glue and I keloid bad on my scars, so it was just as bad. The other two times I think they used staples both times (I can't remember my second well). It looks the same. I really think some people's skin is just more apt to have that keloid and it doesn't really matter how it is sewn together.
