I agree really. I never ask for the password because depending on what's going on in our life at the time, it's hard for me to get on here at times, but it just seems silly to me at this point. Seems to me we all know the ones that are really part of the group by now.

I don't think they are stupid at all. With all the trolls we have on this board, I'm much more comfortable posting pictures and/or more personal things about myself in the hideaway. At least I know no random person will jump in and creep on my pictures and post creepy comments.

Although I am sorry a few people think it's "stupid", you can't please everyone....and the requirements really aren't that hard to follow.
You need to have 500 posts in the July '10 PR and continue to be an active member of the PR (10 posts a week) If you are no longer active, you will be removed from this group.
That's 2 posts a day. I guess the idea is if you don't have time to post 2 posts a day, why would you care about things that are more private to some people....and I don't mean that to be rude, but if I wasn't posting here and didn't have "friendships", I probably wouldn't have a lot of emotional support if someone was sad (and this is an example) that their dog died, etc. It's not like there is anything in there that is worth getting upset that you can't read. Maybe a few controversial topics at best because everyone knows how to agree/disagree politely.

I'm sorry that some may think the requirements are "stupid" but they are there to protect active members of this board. Like Holly said, the requirements aren't that hard to meet. We have had so many cases of people being personally attacked in our PR (like Shannon yesterday) that I feel a lot of us would not still be here if it weren't for the security of the hideaway. ANYONE can have access to the hideaway, all they have to do it met the requirements. The requirements are not put in place to make anyone feel excluded...they are there to make people feel protected. We have close to 30 members in the hideways so the requirements must not be that crazy hard to meet. I don't think it's too much to ask that people be active in the PR to have access to the hideaway. EVERY PR has restrictions and requirements to gain access to their hideaway.

Yes If anyone has a problem with anything the proper way is to just PM the host, Shannon. Making comments like this in the main PR is unnecessary.

I'm not as active as I used to be and maybe I'm naive, but do we really have a lot of trolls in this PR? This PR always seemed free of the drama that I've seen in other PR's.

Yes, we actually DO have a lot of trolls. Not everyone sees all the troll posts, though, because the mods are REALLY good about getting rude or creepy posts removed right away. The hideaway is the only place I'll post pictures of my kids from now on.

Yes, we do have a bunch of trolls, and have had SEVERAL instances. It's your opinion the requirements are stupid, but I assure you they are that way for a reason. It's not hard at all to meet the requirements if you are active. If you are a non-active member then honestly their is no reason to even be in the private area. If you have further questions you can PM me.

I didn't realize the trouble with the trolls. For the record, I didn't say that the requirements were stupid. I was just curious.

It's also worth mentioning that posts made SOLELY to increase your post count do not count toward that....which is a common "rule" on many other playrooms.

Yes, replying to posts with one word, using smiles only, or just punctuation will not count as a post to increase your chances.
AndiNW- that was not directed at you. I should have quoted
dunerchick and replied that way.

This coming from you who show up maybe once a month and answer a post on some random thing? I'm sorry but to me that is stupid. I surely don't want some random person who doesn't take the time to even post coming in the hideaway and knowing personal things that I write in there Give me a break...and I agree with everything Shannon, Holly, Shantel and Heather have said

I didn't mean to offend anyone with my reply. I didn't realize there had been so much trouble in here. I was just thinking it seemed like most of us know each other. To me it really doesn't matter so much because the people I would talk to about anything really personal are on my FB for the most part, though I'm sure there are some that I've missed adding. Can't we all just get along?? lol j/k love you guys.

Kinda feel like the new kid at school now. I didn't realize there was a whole other party going on! I'm really impressed and grateful that you guys take care of the trolls so quickly! I've never noticed anyone being mean ever! But now I know it's thanks to great hosting! Looking forward to joining you all in hideaway

Yes, we would LOVE to have more people in the Hideaway!!! We are so excited when someone else gets added! (so it's not like an exclusive club or anything).
I find that I can easily post in little to no time....I try to limit my JM time to about 30 mins (hour max!!) per day and I am able to read and post lots of times (way over the minimum). Even if you don't always know exactly what to say, you can always offer a shout out or show support for someone. Or, do the QOTD posts...it's a great way for us to start conversations and learn more about you.
I'm looking forward to new members soon!
(For me, the Hideaway is a place I can post a lot more specific details about a situation that is bothering me...maybe stuff that I'm afraid I will get attacked about on one of the main boards by random people, or something I just don't want every single person on the internet to be able to find out about me.)
