What random things upset or scare your toddler (or did in the past)?

The weakness poll made me think of this because of the Yo Gabba Gabba stuff. I've turned it on several times for V to watch and something about it makes him scared - he watches for a bit then cries and tries to crawl away. I'm thinking it's that DJ guy but I'm not sure.

For a while he was scared of the letter W segment on his Sesame Street All Star Alphabet DVD. The W would say "Windy" then open his mouth and blow a huge wind and that scared him for a while. I think he's over it now though.

^^ LOL!!

Caleb is scared of the vacuum cleaner and that's pretty much it now. Oh, Grace's Dance Star Mickey kind of freaks him out. Everytime she turns it on he crawls over to it, shoves it over, then crawls away.

Hmm, theres nothing really that 'scares' Eva as such.

I know it sounds mean for it to be cute when they're scared but that sounds really cute Michele.
Is it?

When we laugh too loud, lol, but she doesn't full-blown cry...she'll stick her bottom lip out and then we're like "It's okay, it's okay!" and she's fine.

Arianna is terrified of the vacuum cleaner as well as, as Heather can attest, GOATS. The girls screams bloody murder everytime I've taken her to the local petting zoo when we go near the goats, but the Clydesdale horses are totally fine with her.

lol. Love it.

Maggie is afraid of gruff voices and smokers cough. I know - talk about random right? My stepdad and my inlaws are all heavy smokers. I also have an older friend who is a smoker. All they have to do is clear their throat or cough, or even laugh, and she tears in the opposite direction.

Ohh let me add London is still terrifed of balloons, my crazy laugh sometimes and one of Caden's action figures! Caden is such a mean big brother sometimes when he wants London to leave him alone he will sit his action figure right next to him while he is playing with something else.. It works everytime! LOL

Caden sounds like a very devious and smart little boy. Methinks you are growing a high paid lawyer and a politician mom. Here's the voice over running through my head: "Look at this scary little thing here and you won't notice how really scary it is when I'm ruling the world. Mwahahahaha."

The only thing I noticed Arie being anxious about is being separated with someone she doesn't know very well...namely when I try to leave her at the gym daycare (I only did it once and she cried for 20 minutes and now she won't let me leave...hence I'm donating a lot of money to the gym, ugh)...she also hates doctors but I don't know if that's fear or just dislike LOL She's not afraid of strangers, just separation.

I can't think of anything else she is afraid of, she even had a balloon pop in her hands and it didn't phase her!

Sydney will scream and cry if I kill a fly or any type of bug. I've killed ants and a few flies in front of her and she literally throws a fit. Not sure if she's scared or just super sensitive

Matthew used to get upset over my daughter's talking Boo-Bah dolls (from when she was little). They are loud & weird looking, so I don't blame him. He got over it though. Now he drops it in front of us so we'll play it for him.

Ali is TERRIFIED of my dad. If he comes near her she freaks out and runs to me as fast as her little legs can go. I think it's the facial hair.. the cable guy was here the other day, he had a beard, and she was afraid of him too.

Luca is terrified of sprinklers which is really unfortunate as DH has them timed to come on every afternoon which is when Luca's most likely to be crawling around on the grass. They get him everytime and he speed crawls out of the way screaming.
