Do you let your LO feed himself (bottle or sippy cup) or do you still hold the bottle for him\her? My LO holds his own bottle for lunch and dinner, but I still feed him in my arms in the mornings. For some reason I feel bad just giving him a bottle and walking away in the mornings, so I usually sit on the couch and feed him while we watch the news, its our little snuggle time.

Ross will hold his own bottle or cup if he feels like it, but he still wants to be held while he eats, so i hold him and he holds the bottle, unless hes being lazy or tired then i hold the bottle too

Josh can hold his own sippy cup and tilt it up to drink out of it. So we let him do it. But he likes to throw it on the floor after he takes a drink. We can't keep it on his highchair so we have to offer it to him to drink and take it back when he's done.

Alivia likes to hold her own bottle now, but she still likes to cuddle on my lap while she drinks. She does like to drink while walking around, but if I pick her up and sit her down with me, she's usually good to stay for a little while before she takes off again. It just depends on how tired she is. She tends to stay on my lap a lot longer if she's tired.

Ever since we switched to bottle full time she has held her own bottle. Even if in arms. However at this point the only person she allows to hold her while eating a bottle/sippy is DH. Most times at this point she walks around and drinks unless its morning bottle or before bed bottle.

Yeah, Bishop has been holding the bottle since 6 months. He likes to hang out on the little toy story couch and eat. He will lay in his crib also. It works for me because I won't be able to hold him during morning feedings in 2 weeks when my oldest starts school.

I usually start holding the bottle for Miranda but near the end she just grabs it out of my hand and wants to hold it herself. She can't really hold the full bottle yet. A lot of time when she takes it away from me, she starts spilling it out and plays around. So I prefer to hold it myself, but by all means if she would only do it herself I don't mind. We still get our cuddle time first thing in the morning.

I usually hold it for Hallie. If I let her hold the sippy or bottle by herself, it would be all over the place. She likes to shake it up when it's full. The leak-proof sippies I will let her drink from and walk around if they have water or a clear juice in them. But for feedings I hold it.

At feeding time I hold the bottle otherwise it will land on the floor over and over again (pick it up mommy). If she is on the floor and it's a spill proof bottle she can hold it herself and throw it around all she wants.

We either nurse or she holds her own sippy cup for the most part.

I nurse Stevie a couple of times a day. The rest of the time he holds his own sippy cup and wouldn't have it any other way. He also chucks it on the ground when done so we have to be ready to catch it!

Tommy holds his own bottle, but we also cuddle when he is drinking it at night and naps.
