Okay you know how they say that when you first introduce solids it should be veggies and not fruit because kids that get fruit first tend to want more sweet things when they are older?

What were the first foods you fed your baby?

If it was a fruit do you find them liking sweeter things over veggies and other stuff like meat or breads?

I've noticed with Aidyen its almost impossible to get him to eat veggies! He loves anything sweet except fruit of course which is strange because his first foods were prunes and pears

Max's first foods were bananas and avocado. He loves both of those now. The only thing he doesn't like is some fruits, which is unusual because all of my kids love fruit. His absolute favorite food is any kind of red meat. I don't each much meat so he loves it when DH is home on the weekend for dinner (he works nights during the week) and he gets his fill of hamburger and steak - LOL!

Jr's first foods were squash, bananas, and avacados. Green beans were his first real faves.
He will eat absolutely anything for the most part, and veggies seem to be his favorite. He is the best eater of all of my kids. I wish they were all this easy.

Well I pray Aidyen comes out of it...but Caden didn't. I wanted to constantly bang my head against a wall. It could be a phase though. I wonder what others will say if they also have picky eaters? I do alot of hiding veggies like what was said in another post. Sometimes I just make Caden eat a certain number of bites (veggies) before I will let him get done eating. Well Aidyen is a baby I wouldn't do that but you know what I mean.

Juliana's first foods were fruits because she hated veggies from the beginning and that hasn't changed.

Her first food was avocado and then we only did veggies after that for a long time. She really loves both fruit and veggies.

This is basically Maggie lately.
The real food (other than rice cereal) that was on the first spoon that ever touched her lips was prunes. Followed right up thereafter by veggies. I think I tried peas and carrots then started doing my own veggies so she was right in there with sweet potatoes, broccolli, cauliflower, spinach...I could go on. I didn't introduce fruits for quite a while. Then of course we added meats. I pretty much added meats at the same time she was ready for moving into more solid chunky foods.

Today she eats just about anything. She has a preference for starchy foods and for anything fresh. She would sooner eat fruits and veggies over meats and proteins.. But that is still to say, she loves it all.

There's still hope! My niece was THE pickiest eater until she was maybe 6 and now she loves new foods and will eat pretty much anything we put in front of her. Just keep trying. I think I read that sometimes it can take time after time of introducing a food before a kid will develop a taste for it. I am still trying that with squash and zucchini with Tyrael and she's 7. She still hates them and I don't push it because she will eat any other veges.

Leah is very hit or miss with food in general. We started with avocado and sweet potato. She could care less for either of those now. She likes pastas a lot and fruits. Every once and a while I cant get her to put veggies in her mouth without spitting them out. Those pouches (plum organics) have been helping me out a ton with getting her to eat more variety.

Well as you already know....Ty likes all veggies and fruits as long as they are pureed and come in a glass jar called "Gerber" We introduced fruits and veggies at the same time.

Haha, I know someday is just going to reach across the table and grab something out of Julia's plate and stuff it in his mouth!

Arianna will eat pretty much anything but definitely has a preference for fruits and string cheese (one of her first words was cheese, I kid you not!)
