It's so frustrating
when Liam gets angry or mad he will hit his head on anything thats near by
he'll hit his head on the floor
this morning it was the bathtub
sometimes its the wall, door frame

do any of you ladies have any suggestions on how to get him to stop?

Well, Miranda doesn't purposes 'hit' her head but what she does is arch her back or throw herself backwards, which sometimes results in her hitting her head.
It's just a phase and it will pass. I've heard of kids doing this and it really doesn't last very long.
I would just try to distract him when he's doing it.

Hadley does the same thing Miranda does and just kind of throws herself either forwards or backwards and usually hurts herself. My oldest on the other hand banged his head all the time when he was mad, drove me crazy. He constantly had a bruise between his eyes from doing it, thought he would have it for the rest of his life. He did eventually grow out of it, it got better when I stopped giving him attention for it. If they see that you aren't making a big deal out of it, it isn't as much fun I guess. (((HUGS))) I know it is frustrating, hang in there.

I have a friend who's son did this for several years. He would get so angry so often and really become aggressive. She started seeing a new ped, and after asking him about he said it could be a sign of low iron (seems weird, but she went with it). Oddly enough, after correcting his iron levels his aggression went down. I'm not saying you LO has low iron, but it was such an odd thing I'd never heard of before!
