Today you should clean your oven.

Mine is self cleaning so I just turn it on, and let it go, then wipe it down after its complete. It's running right now.

QOTD- How often do you usually clean your oven??

When it absolutely needs it, I have to admit. But I have to say that I'm extra careful about what I cook in there, and what I use for cooking in there. Like almost OCD about it. So very honestly, it's almost as clean as the day we had it delivered. The range gets cleaned at least 2 times each day. We use the range much more often.

My oven is self cleaning too, but I also have to admit that I have no idea how the darn thing works. When I have to clean it, I still use elbow grease and a non-scratch scouring pad.

Ummm.... I'm embarrassed to admit I've lived in my house for 3 years and NEVER cleaned the oven. It doesn't look that bad though. I guess I better do this cleaning task today! I never realized I was such a slob.

Actually, I just remembered my mom cleaned it for us when she came to visit after Juliana was born. So it's only been a year.

I should do this today too.....I can't remember the last time ours was cleaned.....I know I have cleaned it since we put it in 4 years ago though

I wish ours was a self cleaning model....it is just a cheapy model and I want a new one in a bad way but it is not in the budget

I sooo need to do this. I haven't done it since we moved into the house 2 years ago. DH keeps reynold's wrap at the bottom to keep all of the drippy stuff away, but besides changes that every once in a while...the oven probably needs a good cleaning. We have the self cleaning option also, so I might give that a whirl.

I think it's crazy that my oven self cleans, and I haven't even done that in 2 years. I must be super lazy

Mine is self cleaning too, but I couldn't get it to work the last time I tried. I'll try again before I go to bed tonight (I like to leave it running overnight because it takes a while and I want to be here while it runs). I did clean it with oven cleaner and elbow grease about 3 months ago. That was probably the first tie in over a year.
