Is anybody else dealing with this right now? Jr climbs on EVERYTHING! The couch, chair, footstool...he tries to climb over the gate but it seems to hurt his little toes. I didn't realize how fast he is until i ran to the bathroom and came back and he had climbed up into the chair and was on his knees on the top of the back trying to escape into the kitchen. AGH!!!!! He's going to give me a heart attack!

Maggie's a climber. It's nerve wracking. Her Grandpa made her a couple of wooden chairs. One for her one for her dollies. She didn't sit in her chair. She climbed it. I turned around and she was standing on the chair free wheeling it, thinking about stepping over the back. This kid is a thrill seeker!

Exactly...it wouldn't bug me if he wasn't trying to do dangerous things. I've never had one like this.

Kaileigh is a big time climber, and she NO fear at all. Im waiting for her to attempt to climb out of her crib because she has already attempted climbing INTO it. She knows drawers can be pulled out to help her climb, and she will go get a toy to use to stand on to get things.
I put latches on my drawers the other day so she cant do that anymore, and I also secured her crib to the wall so it wont move when she climbs on it.

Luckily not yet!! I have been really happy she hasn't really tried climbing yet. I mean, I know she can (she mastered the stairs many months ago), but just recently I have seen her trying to pull herself into the bathtub and today she climbed on a large cardboard box, so I think its going to happen soon, ugh.

Yep! The backs of kitchen chairs seem to be the most dangerous location for her thrill-seeking!

Climbing drive me nuts. She'll take her chair and push it to the couch, and then use her chair as a stool to get on the couch. She can climb on the couch by herself, but I guess it's more exhilarating to make it into an obstacle course. She gets on her riding toy and stands on it. Whenever she climbs, she looks at me like "haha...look what I did, Mommy." I try to ignore it and redirect her, but honestly that crap doesn't work. I don't know what to do, and I hope she'll get over the climbing phase REAL soon.

i have a climber too. and he figured out once how to climb out of his crib. i had to rearrange his room so that the crib is in the corner by its self. he is also fearless and will climb anything. his current favorite thing is to climb onto the back of the couch. (he tries to stand on it but we have always caught him trying to get there and has yet to be successful in standing on the back of the couch)

kenna likes to climb but she doesn't do it that much. what she does have is NO fear and is like a little thrill seeker. for those on my fb, i'm sure you saw her climbing up the big, huge, inflatable slides at monkey joes and going down by herself. she also climbs up and goes down big slides at parks, and will go down the water slide at the water park. she doesn't care if i'm around or not!

Recently have a climber here too. Man, the kid keeps me on my toes. He can get onto the ottoman now that I had been using to keep him only in the living room. He about gave me a heart attack when I turned around and there he was about to nose dive onto the slate tile in my dining room.

Yes!! Very scary.
Here is a picture of Kellen on the bike we got him for his bday. This is all he wants to do on it (please ignore our awful looking rec room with ripped couch...haha):
