Ive never had one. I mean, I've only worked 3 jobs my entire life. From 15-16 a fast food place, from 17-18 at a store as a cashier, then from 18- 2 years ago I had my career. Now I didnt do the same job from age 18 to 2 years ago but it was the same company. I just needed to finish my degree to move up, which I did.

So I guess I've never had a bad job. I loved working fast food as a teenager, then as a cashier while I was in school and then I loved my career and would go back but I love being home with my kids for now.

Hands down worst job...WAITRESS!

I did it over the summer when I was 16, and let me tell you, I have so much respect for waitresses since then. Lousy customers would come in, work me like a dog, and then leave a $1 tip. I could never do it again, but it did teach me a lesson to work hard and manage my time. Oh yeah, and I enjoyed the free food.

LMAO...for like 8 hours I stuffed flexible dryer vents into cardboard boxes and closed them up. Yep, dead easy, but no chair to sit in (had to stand), and no air conditioning.

I showed up, I did my shift. I never looked back. Wasn't even worth the bus fare to get there. Not enough money in the world I tell ya.

WTH!!!That sounds HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a waitress when I was 17 and that was by FAR the WORSE of THE WORSE job I have ever had...UGH like Kim said just total disrespect for others. I give all props to waitresses and people who serve food, because that is not an easy job...I couldn't do it..I was so close to being thrown in jail behind it...well maybe not that bad, but almost fired!!LOL

I have never had a "worst" job. I started babysitting at 11 y/o and did that as a job all the way through high school,(summer jobs of working in bulbs too) then the 6 months I went to college, I nannied for a little boy, then I worked for a major food chain in their corporate headquarters as a mail girl in the mailroom (loved that job!), then worked for my dads company as a receptionist, then at 19 y/o I met my first dh, got married and worked at a daycare for a couple months in the nursery room (I loved loved loved children and babies!!) then I got pg with the twins and that was about it besied running my own in home daycare in NC when the twins were little, and for a few months I bartended the dayshift at little local bar in NC and loved that job too. Yes, I guess I have loved all my little jobs

It's a running joke in my family now. No one can beat me for shortest time employed. At least I left by choice though. It would have really stunk if I had been fired from it.

I've known all my life I could never be a waitress. I so don't have the temperment for it. I'm sure at least one customer every day would leave with coffee in their lap and an explitive on their lips.

Hotel maid.

It wasn't bad because of the guests, but management required us to clean each room in 20mins (strip sheets & pillowcases, replace sheets & pillowcases, scrub bathroom and vanity, replace towels, dust, vacuum, etc). I just wasn't fast enough

Ditto. Being a waitress was no fun at all! My DH had jobs cleaning rooms at a hotel, picking rocks, and peeling logs. We both really appreciate our jobs now.

I bet I can beat you all. LOL. One summer in high school (I think I was 14-15) I cleaned out chicken houses. O --- M --- G!! You have never smelled something worse than a chicken house just after they pulled all the chickens to be sent to plant. It was AWFUL! We had full respirators on and it still smelled through that. Plus it was so hot I thought I'd pass out every single day just from that and we had to basically shovel the chicken CRAP out and wash it all before a new load of chickens was delivered. Horrible... seriously horrible.

I think everyone knows my worst job. I do the same job now but the different company makes all the difference in the world. I was a banker for a certain bank and lets just say the pressure and the threatening and all the ILLEGAL things going on was crazy. When they called me for my exit interview I made sure I stood up for all my friends left behind there.

Now I do the same job, different company, and its good. It's not what I want to do the rest of my life but it works for now and the stress level is soooooooo much lower!

Yeah, I think you do have all of us beat! Never in my life could I do that. Not even for a day. Not even for an hour.

LOL...ya - you win. I think the only thing you could tell me that might be worse than this is if you had to do the actual killing of the chickens. That might be the only thing worse than cleaning up their crap.

True, I have a lot of friends who work in the chicken plants around here (we have two very large ones close by) and I would say their jobs might possibly be worse than cleaning the houses.

I'm kind of glad I was never a waitress though. LOL.

True enough. A dying chicken only squaks for so long. A nasty customer goes on and on and they throw you in jail if you kill them.

My worst job was only a small part of a good job. While in university I worked at a brewery -quality control/microbiology. We rotated throughout the lab and shifts. If you worked the night shift, then you had to effluent analysis. This meant going down to the bowels of the brewhouse to get the sewage collection container and do a number of tests on it. I almost vomited every time I did it! On the bright side, the money was good and I got free beer every month!

I loved being a waitress/bartender....I had so much fun. I worked part-time waitressing/bartending for about 5 years -- made decent money doing it as well.

I don't really have a worst job - liked all my jobs so far. Probably the worst right now is the one I have b/c of the travel factor and being away from Sydney. That would be the only reason though - I like the company/job just the travel requirment sucks.
