Now that our babies are getting bigger, have you gotten a new car seat for your LO? I am probably slow since we still have Sophia in the small infant bucket seat rearfacing. What seat did you get if you already have an upgraded car seat? If you haven't gotten a new car seat which one do you have in mind?

We looked at this one Amazon.com: Graco My Ride 65 Convertible Car Seat, Cuddle: Baby - but some reviews said it is too big for their car.

We have a MR65 and love it, it is big RF so beware of it. I am basically the only person who can comfortably sit in the passenger seat because of Bishop's seat.

For my older two who are forward facing, they have an eddie bauer (my almost 3yo), and my oldest has the graco nautilus. I love the Graco but Bishop won't be in one for a long time.

We switched Jackson into the convertible car seat when he was like 5 months old, cause that's when he hit the 22 pound weight limit on his infant seat!

We also have the Graco MR65, and we love it. It was easy to install and it is easy to buckle him in and out. It IS a boat, but our car is kinda roomy so it wasn't a big deal. It is a little cramped if people sit next to him in back but this doesn't happen often as he is our only child. I guess it depends on what kind of car you have.

we have a graco, not sure which kind

i have a question regarding the seats tho - liam is basically touching the back of the seat now
and they say now to keep them rear facing to age two
won't this cause an issue, like if we're in an accident wont he break his legs?

Better to break legs than a neck.

probably not....on the leg breaking. There actually are no known reports of injury to a child's legs because they were rear facing.

I figure, better their legs than their neck anyway

I'm a big fan of the Britax boulevard, i have both my little ones in them. They are pretty big, but not quite as wide as the MR65.

Rosie has been in a convertible for a while now. Her feet do touch but she sits with them crossed most of the time so I am not worried about that aspect at all.

As far as seats we have a Safety 1st Avenue. I am not a real fan of it however it was given to us as a gift and only 20.00 on clearance so it works.

Ditto Carrie and Ginni about the legs

Claire has been in a convertible for a long time already, but she is still rearfacing and will remain that way. She has a Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL Sunshine Kids RadianXTSL Convertible Car Seat - Nitro - Sunshine Kids - Babies "R" Us. It is a very large seat when rearfacing, but we have a large SUV, so it works.

You might want to give your info (what you drive, budget, etc.) to the ladies on the car seat board...they are great at recommending seats!

Ross has been in a convertible since he was about 8 months old, hes still rear facing at the moment but its at or very near the RF height limit so we will have to turn him before too, likely when Will is born, as we cant fit a RFing seat behind the drivers seat, we tried but DH is tall (6'3) and literally couldnt get in the car when we had a seat RFing behind him

Hallie is in the MR65. We love it. It is big RF but it's very comfy for her. I am very happy with it. She can sleep better in that one than she could in her infant seat.

Macie's still in her infant seat, but I'll probably be looking to get new convertible soon. My son is in a MR65, and although it is big - I love it. Just not sure if I can fit two side-by-side.

We also have a MR65. I'm just liking it, not loving it. She's still RFing.

I've switched Miranda into the Cosco Alpha Omega convertable car seat. It's similar to the Safety 1st one. She is forward facing.

Alivia is in a True Fit by the First Years and she is rear facing. My son is in a Graco Nautilus and I'm currently looking for another car seat for my oldest since hers expires in December. I'm hoping to get her a Nautilus as well.

Same here. DH is 6'5" and it's going to have to go forward facing in his truck.

I have the Graco MR65 and I love it and he's been in it since about 7 months. It is big, but Colby is really comfy in it. We bought two...one for each car.
