Your days are off It's the 6th

Not really, he cries when he's upset but not a tantrum yet. I can wait on those, I get enough from the other two.

My days run together these days....lol

Tommy's new thing is when he doesn't get his way or if he is gated in the living room he throws a fit and I have no idea how to handle it. Any suggestions?

With my other two at this age when they had them, I just let them have them. They got over them a lot quicker if I paid no attention. If his cry changes and you can tell something is wrong, attend to him. Otherwise, I would let him just have his little tantrum and I'm sure he'll get over it not too long after it starts.

I have a funny story.

last month when we were in Montreal, I took Nathan to get his diaper changed. outside of the bathroom was a water fountain. I lifted him up to have a drink and then put him down and held his hand and started walking away. he let go and ran over to the fountain again, I said "no" and he started crying, but he also walked right over to me. I thought it was pretty wonderful that although he was upset with me, he still came over to me and held my hand without my having to go get him and carry him kicking and screaming. such a good boy!

I think part of my problem is I pick him up and give into whatever it is he wants. I am an enabler, I have to learn to let him cry.

When Ross has a tantrum i just let him have his fit, (as long as he is in a safe place where he wont get hurt) he gets over it quicker if i leave him alone.

Yes, when Sophia is tired or hungry and I don't read her clues right we can have a serious meltdown. She got that from me.

God yes. And she is so dramatic about them. Like lets move around the floor and room to cry and scream because its the end of the world.
We ignore them for the most part because she seems to get over them quicker then if we try to engage her.
Like yesterday she was playing with a big tupperware bowl I have and trying to climb on top of it. Josh moved her and the bowl to the carpet where its a bit more padding and holy meltdown for 5 minutes. Josh tried showing her the bowl and she wanted nothing to do with it.

And she is good. If I say no and she is upset that I said no she will cry and walk to Josh. If he says no she will do the same but come to me. But as she does it she will look at you and "scream" at you like who do you think you are.

Yes, but not too often. He throws himself on the floor and screams for a minute when he doesn't get what he wants.
