On these:
True Religion Kids Baby Billy Jean (Infant) Med Phoenix - Zappos.com Free Shipping BOTH Ways
I have a friend whose brother in law's girlfriend bought these type of jeans for her little girl...I mean she's not even her aunt yet anyway. I'm all for buying clothes, in fact I spend way too much on clothes for Aidyen but I just cannot see spending this much on 1 pair of jeans! I could buy a huge bag full of clothes at our Carter's outlet for this price!!

No way. I'm super cheap though. I am NOT into name brands for anything or any one in my family. I buy things because they are cute/durable. So I might spend around $20 on a pair of jeans if I think it'll last a long time with the kids, but no way would I spend $88.

I mean I would possibly on an older child...like if I knew they would be able to wear them for a long time. But this kid who is 17 months isn't even this girl's kid and she buys for her like its her own. I mean I have no doubt that if they made Big Star jeans in the girl's size she would buy those

Ummm HECK NO!!! I only buy CP jeans for Kaitlyn and I get them 2 for $22 plus I also have 15% or 20% off coupons. Kaileigh has CP jeans and some target jeans that I got on clearance last year but they are to big so Im going tomorrow to get her some new ones that fit now and wont spend more then $12 a pair and Im sure I can get them cheaper then that with my coupons I have.
Kids grow so fast I would never spend that amount on clothes that wont last for long.

I wouldn't but my technician buys her niece (14 months old) Juicy Cuture stuff and has ever since she was born. I think sometimes aunts/grandparents aren't as practical as moms!

Seriously! I will admit that between my Mom & I we go overboard but that's just beyond ridiculous to me.

No way would I spend that much on jeans for a baby or a child. I can understand a teenager wanting them and I would spend that much on a teenage daughter of mine, but nope, no way for a baby. Julia wears Target jeans

My husband and I don't even spend that much on ourselves, no way would I buy that for any child of mine. Aaron gets most of his clothes from Target.

i would not buy those. i do buy some frivolous things like uggs for a baby and honestly i think twinkle toes shoes are ridiculous (sierra's were 45 bucks!) but that's about my limit, 40ish for a once in a long time thing. i bought riley some expensive sunglasses last spring and that's it he's had for like a year or longer. i bought sierra her twinkle toes but i haven't really spent much on her since.

Uhhh..negative...and those shoes are ugly!!!! Even if they were cute I wouldn't spend that kind of money. If you can actually afford it (meaning not using credit cards) I would say MAYBE and that's a big MAYBE!!!!

uhhhh no. Not on the jeans, not on the shoes...not on anything that isn't safety related and required by law.
Reality is, even if they grow slowly (sometimes it feels like Maggie will stay this size forever), there's no way jeans are worth that. Like someone else said, I won't even spend that on jeans for me or DH. I think I can count on one hand the number of clothing items DH or I have that cost us that kind of money, and I can guarantee you they would be for special occassions.

I don't know... maybe they're cuter on a baby's chubby little foot... I still wouldn't pay that much on them. I think it'd be time to pull out the hot glue gun and make my own knock-offs
