Do you give your LO baths in the big tub yet? If so what kind of anti-slip mat are you using for the bottom of the tub? I am still using the blow up tub but I think he might be ready for the big tub.

Yes I do. We don't have an anti-slip mat at the moment, mainly because I have one destructive child. We have a no-slip bottom tub but I'm always right there. I lay everything next to the tub before we even start the water. That way I don't have to go anywhere and can make sure he sits and not stand. I have a frog that attaches to the water spout so he can't bump his head on it.

Brendan has been getting baths in the big tub since he could sit up by himself. We don't have an anti-slip mat of any sort. Like Marisa said, everything for his bath is right next to the tub/in the tub so I am always right there. I also have a blow-up octopus on the spout so he won't get hurt if he bumps his head.
We haven't had issues with him trying to stand up- well DH says he's tried it once or twice with him, but since DH is right there Brendan couldn't do it.

We've been doing baths in the big tub for a while now. We've got a tinkerbell mat on the bottom of the tub for Hallie. She loves her bathtime!

I've always bathed him in the big tub because I just bathe him when I bathe his older sister. But, when Eva was a baby, I used the baby bath tub until she was probably 18 months or so....it saved water.

We don't have an anti slip mat either, it has the stuff on the bottom. I was thinking of getting one for extra protection though, since he tends to stand in the tub all the time.

Joey stands all the time too, and he gets rowdy and tries to grab the soap or anything in sight. I never leave him unattended though, I always leave his stuff next to the tub so I am always in arm's reach. I have a fire engine rubber ducky that covers the faucet spout, but he constantly tries to pull on it that I'm afraid it will come off one day.

i bought little sticker things for the bottom of the tub
pack of six from target
though liam peels them off or at least tries to
theyve helped him from slipping
we've been doing the big bathtub now for at least two months - he kept trying to crawl out of the baby tub
heck he tries to still explore the big tub, figured out how to drain out the water

We have done baths in the big tub since Claire could sit on her own. We bought a tub-mat from Wal-Mart, and it works great. She does want to stand in the tub, but I always tell her she has to sit on her bottom in the bathtub and sit her back down immediately. She doesn't try too much anymore as long as she can reach her toys.
Something I noticed is that the cute mats in the baby section are about 3 times as much as the plain mats in the bathroom section. Cheap and plain work for me!

We just use a blow up tub and will for a while still. It doesn't use a ton of water which is nice and I know he is safe.

Colby has been in the big tub since he was about 6 months old...maybe before. We have a plain, cheap bathmat in the bottom, I think from Walmart. He does still try to stand even when I'm right there, but he doesn't slip. I also have the frog for the faucet but he yanked that off months ago.

That's us too. I used to take Nat in the tub with me, but she really doesn't like baths so we try to make them quick now.

We've been using the big tub since he was able to sit without support. We dont have a slip mat or anything because the tub has an anti-slip texture already on it. As long as the water isn't too full we've never had any problems whatsoever. At my mom's house she doesnt have the texture, but her normal anti slip mat works just as fine. We're a no-frills family and we've not been any worse off for it!
Omair has always tried to stand up, and about 80% of the bath is spent with him standing, playing with the faucet and grabbing soaps, etc. We've never used a spout cover, and while it crosses my mind it may not be needed. He rarely slips, and when he's standing my hands are on him anyway.

He grew out of the baby bath a long time ago. We don't have a non-slip mat, we did at old apartment. I should probably look into getting one!

We have been doing the big tub for about 4/5 months can't even remember..lol
But I bought a nonslip soft rubbermaid one from Target. Without it she just slips all over the place. I also like it cause to clean it I can just toss it in the washer and hang dry.
