Ok, the lesson will come first because it happened first.
story: I had to go to the squadron to get Ali's shot records, since they can't access AF shot records for some stupid reason at the clinic. Well the airman on duty (e2.. baby) was refusing to let me go back to the office.. because I wasn't in uniform. I did my best to explain that I AM A CIVI therefore I don't HAVE a uniform.. and he kept insisting I had to be in uniform. I then asked where they would like me to get one, and if I needed one for Ali too. I know I have to have an escort, but they should provide that at the desk. He kept going on and on about how I couldn't go back and blah blah blah.
Anyhow, after about 5 minutes of arguing with him, I said ok fine, I'm gonna call my husbands supe, the flight chief, and see if he can help me out with this situation. That changed things a little bit. Kid jumps up and scurries out of the office, talks to a tech sgt (e6) outside the office. I hear "ARE YOU FDUCKING STUPID?? SIT THE FDUCK DOWN" (except without the Ds) and the tech sgt comes over to walk me to where I need to go. I'm sitting there in the office and I hear him reaming out this kid for several offices away. Afterwards he walks me back to my car and tells me he wishes he was allowed to use a baseball bat to beat some sense into people.
The worst part is.. these kids are supposed to be the best of the best. The top 5% of the AF are the only ones who can get into this school. You would think they'd have a little common sense.
So, lesson learned, if baby airman is being stupid, threatening to call the flight chief will get spit done.
Ok, Ali's appt.
She's 19lb6oz, and 30 inches long. A little skinny so the doc wants me to push calories and, as he put it, shovel food down her throat. No Mt Dew in the bottle though, lol. Otherwise she's healthy and progressing well. Got 3 shots and her hemoglobin levels checked, and they were great
