Hey ladies! I usually don't like to publicly vent, but I need to for a minute and I know you all are amazing at offering kind words and advice so here goes.
I am so incredibly stressed right now, so stressed in fact, that my period is late. And that has never, ever happened to me before. Let me start by saying there is no way I am pregnant...if I was, it would be one of those " I didn't know I was pregnant" situations lol. But of course, my period being late isn't helping the stress level.
This month has been crazy and it seems like it's all coming to a head right now. So here goes the vent; I've been working for a company I hate since April, the only reason I haven't left already is because me and the Office Manager are extremely close and I know she wouldn't know what to do if I left. Well last month, the company decided to merge with another company that had a full-time staff, my pay was cut substantially and I had to beg for less hours to go along with the pay-cut. In my opinion, I'm still working way more than I should for what I was offered, but any money is better than none. I recently found out from a co-worker that the only reason I still have a job thru the merge is because the Office Manager convinced the owner to keep me on board. So that's sh*tty.
I had already began looking for a job after I took my pay-cut and interviewed with a rather large, well-known financial firm and was offered the job a couple weeks ago. I hadn't said anything to the owner of my company because I have to pass a background check before the offer is finalized. I'm stressed about the background check because I do have a misdemeanor on my record...a stupid charge from when I was 16 that the state didn't charge me with until I was 19. I was upfront and honest about my record when I interviewed before the job was offered, but of course I'm still worried it might hold me back. So waiting for the background check to finish and waiting to hear if the job offer is finalized has be in a frenzy, THEN...I find out yesterday from my work that next week will be my last week of work, they're letting me go because apparently they can't afford to keep me. ******, great! I wouldn't mind this if I knew for sure I had a job waiting for me, but I don't. I'm actually glad to know that after next week I never have to go back to that stupid place ever again!
Anyways, added to my stress was Holden's super high fevers earlier in the week, an Emergency Room visit due to fevers and his ear-tube procedure this coming Tuesday. I'm about to lose my mind, I'm sure of it. Top it off with a late period and I'm in a mess!
I didn't mean for this to be so long, but it feels good to finally have all my thoughts out of my head!

*hugs* Don't ever apologize for venting, ever! I'm sooo sooo sorry you have so much going on. The stress you're going through is more then likely related to your period being late. I am sure you being up front and honest about your record and then them offering you the job is a good sign. You told them about it, they'll expect to see it when your back round check comes up. So I'm thinking nothing but good thoughts for you! Fingers crossed.
I hope as well that Tuesday goes smoothly and Holden is a champ. Let us know how it goes, okay?

Rachel I am sorry you are going through so much. It is a really stressful time but guess what? You will get the job. If they had a problem with something that happen wayyy in the past I think they would not pay for a background check . God has a plan and that job was not for you. I will be praying about Holden's ear tube procedure. I felt so sad that he was having so many fevers, I hope the procedure stops it from happening again. You know you and Holden are in my prayers. Love you and keep your head up. ((Hugs))

Hugs...I am sure you will get the job, since you were offered the job and were up front about it. I don't think they would have offered it to you if your charge was a concern. I hope Holdens procedure goes well, keep us updated.

Good Luck. I would say since you were upfront about it that is in your favor. Most places look for honesty in those type of situations.
But I can imagine the stress. I am sure it will all work out eventually but none the less its a stressful situation to be in.
Hopefully once you find something out things will fall back into place.

HUGS!!! Everything will work out to the best outcome....you'll see. No wonder your period is late. That is a lot of stress!! Keeping my fingers crossed that you hear back with the job offer real quick and that Holden's surgery goes well.
