How well does your LO brush their teeth? Do you do it for them or do they do it themselves? Juliana always wants to do it herself and I feel like she does a not-quite-adequate job, but it's close enough to adequate that I don't want to cause a melt-down by forcing her to let me do it. As she gets more teeth, I worry more and more that it's not good enough but I'm not sure what to do about it.

I pretty much do the same thing. I don't want a battle. I brush her teeth first as fast as I can..ha ha..Then I hand her the brush. I think at this age that behavior is normal. Caden did that. He is 4 now and brushes his own teeth for the most part and does great with it. I do go in at times to make sure its adequate. I still help him floss though. BTW his teeth are really healthy and has never had a cavity.

I brush his teeth and then let him brush them. I still have to help my oldest with his teeth sometimes because he's gotten lazy.

I don't know if I would call it brush -- she pretty much chews on the toothbrush. She will clamp her mouth closed when I try to do it.

On the plus side it is one of the few things that occupies him while I blow dry my hair.

He's only had teeth for a few weeks and he doesn't like for me to brush his. He just wants to take the brush and suck the tiny bit of toothpaste off. He doesn't know how to move the toothbrush yet, really. I'm thinking about trying a finger brush, or one of those banana looking brushes, or the little tooth wipes for a while instead.

I brush her teeth. I don't give her the brush yet. I figure once she's mastered the spoon, then we'll think about it. She does great with it though. She doesn't seem to be in a rush to grab the toothbrush like she is with her spoon and other stuff. It's probably because we do it in the mirror and she likes to watch herself while I'm brushing. She even lets me brush her tongue.

I let Owen brush first and then I do it. He loves brushing, so it's never been an issue.

Leah likes to brush her teeth as well. She usually lets DH help her out, but for some reason when I try, she throws a hot, holy fit! It's funny whenever I say "let's go brush our teeth" she gets super excited and runs to the bathroom to get her toothbrush.

I brush Avery's teeth. She thinks it's the best thing ever. I sing this sill little song & she giggles while I brush. Now she only has 6 teeth, so there's not much brushing needed. Ethan is getting pretty good; I help him with the back teeth & the backs of the teeth, but he does most of it.

Aidyen LOVES to brush his teeth. I do it for him with the baby toothpaste, and then I'll rinse it and let him have it to use, he thinks its the greatest thing!

We have two toothbrushes for Harper. One is for Mama, one is for baby. Between the two of us, I'm hoping we're doing an okay job. She had her first dentist visit for her birthday and got a thumbs up.
