Do you always read to your toddler at bedtime?
If so, do you always read the same book(s)? Which one(s)?
Do you ever/always let them choose the book or no?

I'm trying to... She brings books to me all the time and I read them to her.
She's not really partial to just one:
Fuzzy Bear Goes To Bed
Cluck & Moo
If I were....
Panda's Busy Day
Is it sad I have them memorized?

We don't always read at bedtime, but we do read quite a bit throughout the day. Always the same books, always his choosing. It's gotten to the point that I've hidden a few of them because I just can't stand them anymore!

I'm terrible about reading to him at bedtime or at all throughout the day, I think the bigger kids read to him more than I do. But at bedtime, as soon as I put his jammies on, he's reaching for his bed.

My DH reads the bedtime story EVERY night. He rarely misses a night. He lets Caden pick one out. They have a TON of books so I have no idea on any selections. DH is very adamant on reading the bedtime story to the babies!

LOL I've done that too, and also put away some of her more annoying toys!
I love reading Dr. Seuss to her and she has this animal picture book that she will go through with her dad, she LOVES that book. But she doesn't really do it with me, apparently I'm no substitute for Daddy!

Ty doesnt seem to want to sit and be read to.at.all. When Julia was this age, she would sit for hours literally while someone read to her, so did the twins. I dont know why Ty has no interest in it yet I guess he is just too busy running.

Tyla, Ethan didn't really want to be read to until he was closer to 2. Avery loves it. Maybe it's a boy/girl thing? I have no idea.
Either way, Avery has a certain book she really likes. It's called "In Grandma's Arms". Ethan likes all the Disney books & he gets a bedtime story every night. Me on the nights DH works & DH on the nights he's off.

That makes me feel better, maybe it is a boy thing then? IDK since I have no other boys either to compare to.

Aidyen gets read to every night and its usually the same books
Mama's Milk and his baby bible
Tyla, Aidyen wouldn't really sit still either, but after getting a routine down he will partially sit still, not always but we usually can get through at least 1 book
Then some days I let him pick out the ones he wants too

Steve usually helps out with our bed time routine and he reads to Harper. She LOVES all of the classic Little Golden books, Love You Forever and The Napping House.
We are big readers in our house, we did a Book Birthday for Harper's first birthday where everyone brought their favorite childhood book and inscribed a note to her inside. We have so many books to choose from, but I think The Napping House will always be a favorite.

E is crazy about books. DH reads to him at night before bed...usually 4 books or so and I read him about the same amount before naps. We read everything. E usually will let us know if he has a particular story in mind.

I read different books to him throughout the day and he always gets Goodnight Moon and I Love You Through and Through right before bed.

Ella doesn't show much interest in books yet, which is a bit disappointing to me b/c both DS & I are huge readers. Regardless, I do read to her every night. She won't sit still for a book so I get her ready for bed then put her in her crib. I read her 2 or 3 books...I stand next to her crib & show her the pictures, while she stands & bounces around, lol.
I typically read the books that were DS's favorites at this age...touch & feel books & those with flaps to life & turn. I make sure to include one of my favorites ("Guess How Much I Love You," "It's Time for Bed," or "I Love you, Mommy.") Then I finish w/ a passage from a daily prayer book I have.
