We've cloth diapered since Aaron was born and use mostly prefolds and covers during the day and fitteds with wool at night. We've been having terrible problems with him peeing through everything and are looking into doublers.

What are your favorite doublers? Of course cheaper is better but cost isn't a huge issue since we'll be able to use them again for this next baby.

Thanks!

I just recently had to use cloth overnight and used two inserts in my diapers. Hopefully someone else can help you!

I use microfiber cloths. I find them in the auto section of Walmart/Target. They are thin and super absorbant and cheap! But, I believe they aren't great for being right up against baby's skin so I use them in my pocket diapers. I have heard great things about hemp inserts and I have a few bamboo diapers that work very well overnight.

And those are what I use for inserts! ^ They get a little worn out after a while though...

Alison that is an awesome idea, I'll have to get some.

I just normally use two inserts but then we still have a few nights where he leaks.

I don't really know. I use pockets mostly during the day and only use fitteds at night time, so I don't use any doublers in those. Sounds like you got some other good suggestions, though. If you got a bamboo or hemp insert, you can just lay that in your prefold to use as a doubler.....not microfiber, though, because like Alison said, that can cause rashes.
