going well! I think she nurses too much but oh well, she loves it and at least I know she's getting the nutrients she needs. I'll let her go until she weans, hopefully sometime around the age of 2.
The nursing itself is going fine, but as most of you ladies know, I need to get him to cut back a little. He was recently hospitalized for severe anemia due to iron deficiency because he drinks too much milk and doesn't eat enough solids. We are already down to about 3 times per day on the weekdays, which is good for him, but apparently we need to try and cut back even more in order for him to get hungry enough to eat real food! He is currently taking iron supplements.
Other than that though, things are fine. He is not ready to wean completely and I am okay with that. We will nurse at night until he is ready to be done, hopefully around age 2.

We are down to typically one time a day which is usually before bed. Sometimes I will nurse him at naptime because that's the only way he will fall asleep. But these sessions last maybe 5 minutes and if he's really tired, as little as a minute until he passes out. So yeah, he's not really getting any nutrition, it's just a comfort thing. I just wonder how long my body will keep producing anything with nursing like that? I'm ready to stop but until I can get him to sleep without without the boob, I'm kind of stuck being a pacifier.
Going good here as well. She nurses before she goes down for a nap and before bedtime at night- 3 times a day. Sometimes she is REALLY cranky in the morning and she cries and cries and then I will nurse her, too. And sometimes she wakes up in the middle of the night and NEEDS me. At night she uses me like a pacifier (b/c I don't think I make that much milk anymore). I wish she would take a pacifier instead my boob sometimes. We range from 3x to 5x nursing sessions.
I would like to start weaning her. I definitely want to be done nursing her when I am pregos. Hopefully this year.
We're nursing about 3-4 times a day now. He's starting to sleep the the night (hallelujah!) so no more night nursing here. I nurse him right before bed and then he sleeps until about 6am and I nurse him right when he wakes up. And then we nurse maybe 1-2 times other than that during the day. I think I'm gonna let him decide when he is ready to wean so I don't know when that will be but I'm guessing it will be in the next year or so.
