I have no idea, none of my kids ever climbed out of their cribs. But I just wanted to say welcome and please feel free to introduce yourself. This is a great support system here.

Leah's never climbed outta the crib. I don't think she can now that I've dropped it all the way, and I took the bumper out. Sorry I don't have any good advice.

it is all the way down, the bumper has been out since he used it to get out when he was 12 months
now i don't know what to do. i have watched him climb out and i am scared that hes going to break his leg or his neck doing it. he never stays put when sleeping either so i can't just convert the bed to the toddler style (he would fall outta bed all the time)
i am just stumped.

and now that he can get out he is even harder to get to go to sleep (i used to put him in bed and he would fuss till his door was shut then he would settle and go to sleep now he just climbs out and cries and won't even try to lay down to sleep)

I got a text from our sitter one day that said "Uhhhh, I think you need to lower Leila's mattress" and I said, "Why, did she climb out or something? lol" to which the reply was "Yup" Yeah, not so "lol" at that point! She was fine though. We took the bumper out (she had used that as a step up) and it hasn't happened again since. We really do need to completely lower it all the way though...

I'd check out a crib tent. That may be a good option for awhile.

Sorry I have no advice, Londy is not a climber..I hope that crib tent could possibly be an option for you.

Luca is not a climber but I'm an expert on this because Noah was. Put him in a sleeping bag that should stop him from being able to get a leg up. And when he figures out how to unzip himself out of it and then climb out dress him backwards.

We co-sleep, so we don't have a climbing problem right now. But, I WAS a climber and I always laugh when my mom tells the stories (every. darn. holiday.) about how I was so determined to get outta that bed and I'd fall every single time and never learn to just stay put!

I think a crib tent sounds like a great idea.

Also, I know some babies just stay put when they are in a toddler bed, like they think there's an invisible force field and they can't get out. One of my girlfriend's has a son a few months older than Harper, and he used to yell for his mama to get him out of his toddler bed every morning, even though he could full well get out on his own.
