They did a lead screen with a toe prick at her 1 year check. Got a call yesterday that higher than 10 is positive, but in the last few years they have started sending kids in for an actual draw to recheck it if number is greater than 3. Well, her number was 4. I am not really worried about the lead with it being that low and plus none of my other kids have had lead problems so I just don't think we have a problem with lead in our house or places she'd be exposed. However, since they wanted to recheck it and she was planning to have them check her iron levels and a couple other things too with the poke I asked them to tack on an allergy panel. I wasn't going to ask for allergy testing quite yet, but if she was being poked anyways it seemed stupid not to have that added on. Natalie was a little trooper. They got her first stick and really quick with it too. I think she was more mad about having her arms held down than the poke because she didn't scream with the poke, but only when we wouldn't let her move her arms. Lab results should be back I think in a week. I'll keep you all posted.
