Do you bathe with your LO? Does your DH?

I bathe with Juliana almost every night. DH refuses to bathe with her. He acts like it's a nudity thing but I think he's just lazy and wants me to keep doing it. I really don't mind, except that I have a hard time washing my hair while I bath with her. I end up either still needing another shower, or just not washing my hair (yuck, but at least I work from home)! I also can't shave my legs when I bathe with her, so I end up going a few days at a time w/o shaving my legs. Whenever DH complains, I tell him he's welcome to bathe her so that I can shave my legs, and that shuts him up.

No..I have another child (he is 4) so they bathe together. When I had just Caden, he was younger, we did bathe together occasionally until he was about 3. Caden use to take showers with his dad. It is not that I don't want to, but more of killing two birds with one stone since Caden needs to bathe too.

I bathe Owen separately. DH & I both prefer showers and Owen's a little freaked out by the shower, so for now it works better this way.

I go days at a time without shaving, but I'm just lazy like that.

I either bathe with Harper, or we bathe her on her own. My DH is a bit old fashioned and doesn't want Harper seeing his business.

I used to bathe with my older girls when they were younger, but N. usually just gets thrown in with ds 1 and ds 1 gets him all washed up and everything.

We take turns bathing with her, DH just uses a washcloth to cover his "stuff". But I agree, when I bathe her, I still end up taking a shower just to shave and wash my hair.

When I work, DH bathes E at night. Occasionally, he will take E in the shower with him esp if he gets dirty early and can't wait until night to bath. I say I might take a bath with E once a week or so...esp if he is fussy. He loves the bath so then we will just go sit in there and play for like an hour.

We've never bathed with Aaron. He loves bath time though and we let him play in there as long as he wants most nights.

Only a handful of times. If she hears the water running, she immediately wants in whether it be a shower or bath!

We both do, but Sean does it the nights he is home in time. That's "their" time. I think she prefers when he gives her a bath because he lets it get a lot deeper than I do, lol

EDIT: I totally misread this thread! Sean has brought Sophie in the shower with him a handful of times, only when we were running late trying to go somewhere and I'm trying to get dressed. I don't think she likes showering that much. I have taken baths with Sophie too but not so much anymore because she's more interested in nursing than bathing, lol

OMG, Juliana totally helps herself to nummies constantly throughout the bath. She goes for a sip from one, plays a bit, then a sip from the other. It's kind of annoying but kind of cute at the same time.

I"ve never bathed with her...I give her a bath every night though. She seriously has 3 baths to everyone 1 shower that I get...I know, ew!! Its true though. I am scared to bathe with her too, I don't want her poking or prodding me LOL. When I visited my parents, hubby was afraid to give her a bath (when we were visiting the in-laws, we didn't have her little bath chair and she kept standing up) so I told him to just get in with her, and he did, but he wore his swimming trunks.

I bathe with Ethan every night. The few nights I haven't been able to be here....DH tries to bathe with him and he screams the whole time. It's like "mum's not here...something's wrong!". LOL!

DH would never bathe with our children! Like a PP said, he's old fashioned & doesn't want his kids seeing his business.

I only bathed w/ DS once or twice... I remember it being a pain b/c he was so active & the tub at our old house wasn't very big. With Ella, once she outgrew her little tubby I just started putting her in the big tub w/ her brother. Now the two of them have such a blast together that if I try to give just one a tubby they both throw a fit!

One suggestion for Mariah, could you have DH come in & grab Julianna at the end of the bath. That way you could finish up whatever business you might have & she'd be dressed & ready for you when you're done.

This is how I'm doing it. Because she's freaking out in baths and will only take showers with me, I head in first while DH gets her undressed, do my own showering, then he passes her off. I wash her and play in the shower stream, hand her back so DH can get her dried and dressed while I do the same for me. It's annoying that it takes two of us, but the bigger she gets, the more nervous I am about trying to get out of the shower with her in my hands, trying not to slip. It's not like Maggie is standing in the shower on her own. I have to hold her.

We aren't bath people so K either gets a bath by himself or we will shower with him if we are in a hurry.
He really prefers a regular bath tho.
