I said this last time, and I'll say it again...I hate venting like this, but really? can I please get a break!?
Thursday was my last day of work, so i've officially been unemployed for 5 days. The job I was waiting on the background check for fell thru, I skipped a part on my application, therefore not matching with the background check and making me ineligible. Great! So i've been sending out resumes since Friday and had an interview this morning and another one tomorrow afternoon. I dropped Holden off at the babysitters this AM and headed for my interview...I remember saying to myself during the drive that everything was good, falling into place and everything was going to work out. Well...then my car died about 5 miles from where I needed to be. It totally seized up, in the middle of traffic! Long story short my engine seized up because there was no oil. I had just gotten my oil changed a few months ago, I was due for another oil change soon, but if it was over, it was only a couple hundred miles over, not enough to have drained all the oil from my car.
I really don't know what to do and honestly i'm really scared. I don't have enough money to buy a new engine or a new car...all my savings will be going towards bills while i'm not working.
I know we all have our problems so I feel bad airing mine like this, but please, please, please keep me and Holden in your thoughts and prayers!

Have you maybe looked into a junk yard for a new engine? Cheaper then new.

Thinking of you... What a crappy situation. I feel you with the money issues, it is ridiculous. We just got our car an oil change and a tune up (it was wayyy overdue) and it was $230 frickin' dollars! It had to go on the credit card. We are as broke as it gets. ((HUGS))
