I think Ethan is finally potty trained! He's been in undies for over 2 weeks now with no accidents & using public restrooms. He's even been wearing his undies to bed for the last few nights. It was like a little light bulb came on & it happened over night. Awesome.
Oh & Avery has peed in the potty a few times. She points & says "dat" & then tries to take her pants off. I put her on the little potty chair & she goes. Not every time, but at least once a day. It would make my year if she potty trained earlier/easier than Ethan.
Anyone else starting with the potty thing already?

That is sooo good!! WTG Ethan! Avery will probably be potty trained quickly. Leah doesn't know anything about a potty except that it makes a big sound that scares the crap out of her, lol! She literally runs away when I'm about to flush the toilet.

I have not even thought about potty training. We don't even have a potty. I guess I better put some potty training books on my reading list.

WTG Ethan!! That's awesome! I'm shocked by Avery's training already. Do you think she caught on from you working with Ethan? I'm proud when Eli tells me "poo" when he goes in his diaper. LOL!

It has to be from watching Ethan go on the potty & see what a fuss we make when he does. I nearly fell over the first time she went in it. She has always hated her diaper being wet or dirty, so maybe she will pick it up quickly.

Yay Ethan!!! That's awesome!!
Sometimes I wonder if I should get a seat for the potty for her...I really think she's not ready right now but if i put her on there once in awhile, it might help prepare her. I'm thinking around 2 to really start training her.

Yay Ethan!! It must be a relief after having 2 in diapers for a year Noah was toilet trained at 23 months but I would bet my next paycheck that Luca wont get it as easily. We will probably buy a potty at around 16-18 months and go from there.

WTG Ethan!!! I've been putting N. on the potty every once in a great while, he did poop on it one day and totally shocked me, but he does like to go and just sit on it sometimes.

Have you btdt moms found it better to have a little potty chair or ones that fit on the toilet? I want to get one that fits on the toilet, I'm thinking easier cleanup!

Yay for having one potty trained!
Q is no where near ready to start p-training but dh is trying to get me to start. (we have twin nieces that are 1 month older than Q and they started p-training them at 1 yr and the one is starting to get it. the other not so much)
i don't plan on starting till we move to the new house (as a move can cause setbacks so why try? to just be setback when we can wait till hes a wee bit older and has a better chance of getting it)

Seema - I found the potty chair easier for Ethan until he got tall enough to climb up on the big potty with a stool. Avery likes to sit on the potty chair (sometimes with pants, sometimes without) while I use the bathroom. Both of my kids seem to like their feet touching the floor or a stool.
Froggie (I'm sorry, I don't remember if you told us your name), I didn't start Ethan at this age because he showed ZERO signs of being ready. He wanted nothing to do with the potty & just didn't care if he had a wet or dirty diaper. Little Miss gets all fussy when her diaper isn't clean & dry. So I totally think it's a personality thing... they have been different in almost every way so far, I figure might as well with this, too!

We had both with DD1. It was nice to put her on the little potty in the beginning because she was scared of the toilet. We also bought her It's Potty Time and Elmo's Potty Time, and kept some board books in the bathroom for reading material.
BTW, congratulations on Ethan!!!
