19 lbs 9 oz. - 10th percentile
29.5" - 25th percentile

She asked what I did when she woke in the middle of the night and I answered that I gave her some milk, which I didn't explain was breastmilk (she never asked about her being weaned, just whether she was off the bottle and paci- both of which baby's never had). The doctor said I should give her some water instead.

Anyway, my question for all the nighttime nursing mommies is: What do your pediatricians say about nighttime nursing and bottle rot? I've googled it and the answers aren't very clear-cut.

I saw my pedi yesterday and she said it's fantastic that I'm still nursing. She just said to make sure Juliana doesn't fall asleep at the breast, meaning I should break the latch just before she drifts off, for the sake of her teeth. I'm not sure why this matters, to be honest, but I wasn't worried about it because I do that anyway.

She got 4 shots (flu shot too)! No fever so far...

I feel weird having to withhold info from the doc, but I didn't want to hear a lecture about needing to wean her. Had the doc asked about being weaned from breast, I would've told her the truth but I'm glad it didn't come up. And DH isn't much support, as he asked when I would be weaning because he didn't want a "6 yr old on the tata"! Bah!

If my doc ever said anything stupid about it being time to wean, I would have been very glad to take the opportunity to school her on how wrong she is and the numerous studies indicating that breastfeeding is beneficial past the age of two.
