How many naps do your babies take per day? I am trying to remember when DD1 dropped to one nap per day, but I can't remember. Anyone else remember when their children started taking just one nap per day?

Bishop is still taking two a day, well, when he's not teething.

My almost 3 year old dropped down to one around 15-18 months. He'll be 3 in November and only rarely takes a nap at all.

Stretten has been on one nap since 7/8 months and would go down at noon, now I'm good if he goes down by 3 and there are several days that he doesn't nap at all

Claire still takes 2 good naps of about 2 hours each. If we go to playgroup or have something in the morning she can get by with just a longer afternoon nap, but she functions best with 2.

Great question, though...I was wondering when they went down to only one nap!

Brendan has never been a great napper. One hour nap AM and One hour nap PM was pretty standard for him. He's been taking 1 two hour nap in the PM this past week at daycare so I am thinking he is starting to drop the AM one...

Josh takes one nap a day, started when he turned 1. His nap is right after lunch for about 2 hours. DS1 dropped to one nap when he turned 1.

Alivia has one nap a day, and it usually lasts around 3 hours.

I am so jealous that Alivia will take a three hour nap for you!

Pretty much down to one long (2-3 hrs) or two short (30-60 mins) naps a day. Both my older ones were the same and my mom said I was too. We're just not nappers.

Well, Miranda would usually take 2 naps but lately on weekends she's been napping only once and she gets so cranky by 5pm. I think on those days where she gets up at 6am, she naps at 9am and again around 3pm. But on weekends when she gets up later...like 8am'ish...then she only naps by 11am and there is no way she'll do it again. But boy is she grumpy and whiney by the evening. So those days I put her to bed at 7pm for the night.

I think right about this age is when they only nap once. And by 4 they usually drop that nap altogether.

Thanks for all of your responses. Kinley still naps for about 45 minutes in the AM, and about 2 hours in the afternoon. I am guessing she will transition to one nap in a few months. Her morning nap is so short I would try to drop it, but she seems like she really needs it. Plus, I like that I can often get both girls to sleep at the same time late afternoon.

Tommy is on the same schedule as Kinley. I think the am nap is going be eliminated soon. He seems to be getting up earlier and earlier. My dd went down to one 2-3 hrs nap around 1

My LO dropped his morning nap sometime between 10-11 months. I thought that was early, so I tried to force a morning nap with car rides & stroller rides but he just wouldn't sleep, and the few times he did it would only be for 30 minutes. Now he takes 1 nap per day after lunch, around 12:30 or 1pm and he sleeps 2-3 hours. At night he sleeps from 8pm - 7:30am.
