How often do your kids see grandma and grandpa? Are you close with your parents?

On average I'd say once a month. No one lives more than an hour away, but summer got super busy and there just wasn't a ton of time. I think it will get a little more frequent as fall hits

Ross sees grandma and grandad (DHs parents) atleast twice a month, and my parents once or twice a year (hes seen my dad once in his life and my mom twice) im closer with my dad than I am with my mom but they live 22 hours away so visiting isnt really an option

DD has seen FIL and SMIL twice for like an hour each time. when I went back to visit my family
MIL came to visit twice.
And my parents 4 times. Twice I went back and twice they came to us.

His family just don't really make the effort. And so its very out of site out of mind type thing.
My family they make the effort.

I know if we lived local to family it would be a weekly thing with my parents and his more like once a month if that. But that is just how they are.

He sees my Mom at least once a week- she babysits him every Monday morning and he is fantastic for her, which is great because this is a fairly new thing (the babysitting). She lives about 40 minutes away with my Stepdad, so we see each other often. We are very close.

My father he only sees once every few months, he lives about 3 hours away and I am not very close with him due to some issues.

As far as DF's parents, they both live about 3 hours away but we see them about once a month, as we alternate visits. They both made the effort to come see us last weekend so we will be visiting both of them in Mid-October. (They are not together)

My dad: quarterly
MIL & FIL: yearly

IL's: We can't stand one another

Since we moved, the boys see the IL's about once every other month. They see my Dad and his wife at least once a month, probably twice.
