Yesterday I took Juliana running and did our usual 1.1 mile loop 4 times, which is the furthest I've gone with Juliana in the stroller, and looked down and noticed she was asleep! I couldn't pass up the chance to push a little further, and ended up going again for a total of 5.5 miles. Not bad for pushing a non-jogging stroller and half-dragging an out of shape dog! I haven't run that far since I was about 3 months pregnant, but I started cutting back. I'm sore today, but it was worth it. Hopefully this can become our new norm. Just in time, next week is the "Pass It On" sale that I've been waiting for to pick up a used jogging stroller. I think I can finally justify getting one.

That is freaking awesome! I can only do 3 miles without feeling like I'm going to die. Are you jogging the entire time? We have a cheapo jogging stroller that I actually really like.
We were trying to sell it on Craigslist bc I thought I'd never use it (baby shower gift, lol), but I've kinda fallen in love with it. What kind of stroller are you interested in?

Yep, I jog the whole time except maybe the last .1 mile for a cool down. I don't consider myself a big runner but I've been consistently running once per week for basically ... since I was in high school, except for the last two months of my pregnancy and most of the months of December and January since moving to Oregon.
I ran in a 5K for charity last weekend and the experience was NOT as good. Juliana kept signing for "milk" but I couldn't exactly whip out my boob in the middle of the street with all the other runners, so I pushed through with her crying a lot of the time. Finally near the end I found a place where I could "hide" and nursed her before continuing on the run. I was so frustrated!
Anyway, I'm not too sure what to look for in a jogging stroller. A friend of mine has one and I'm going over to her house this week to try it out and see if I like it, but it's not like I can actually compare with just one. Is there anywhere that sells lots of different models where you can actually try them out?
How is Leah when you run? Usually pretty happy?

Leah's usually pretty good as long as we keep moving. She never falls asleep though. Overall she enjoys the fresh air and looking around at the birds and random dogs. That is so adorable that she was signing milk the whole time, lol! You probably didn't think so at the time. I've never run any type of marathon, but I think that could be a really good goal for me.

Way to go! Can you bring a snack and water for her?
Unfortunately, there aren't any places I know of where there are multiple models out to try which sucks. I just did tons of online research before I bought.

I do bring a sippy cup and put a Mum-mum in her hand when we leave. I think all of these things are helping. I did a 4.4 mile run yesterday and that was all she would tolerate, but I was still pretty sore from Sunday so I wasn't worried about it. I need to get my runs in before the weather gets crappy here. After Halloween it will rain about 2/3 of the days until March.

Get the weather shield! It's a plastic thing that goes over the strollers and helps keep the heat in for the little ones. Then the rain won't thwart you!

That's too funny. I just remembered I got one of those at my baby shower and it's been collecting dust for the last year and a half. I guess I have no excuse!
