Hi,

After 5 months of giving birth I started feeling dizzy/lightheaded occasionally but this lasts for 4-5 days then I get 4-5 normal days then again its same..I reduced BF at 10 months that's when AF returned and stopped completely at 11 months. Also, whenever I get AF I feel low BP and dizzy. Periods are really heavy for first 2 days and instead of 4-5 days they last 9-10 days the last 5-10 days consists of brown blood or spotting or nothing at all whole day. I just had them like this twice after stopping BFing.

Is any of this familiar?

Thanks.

Venus

Is the world spinning or do you just feel wooshy? (light-headed) Either one sucks, and I've had both so I feel your pain.
I would definitely go to a doc and get checked out as the vertigo stuff can be caused by a multitude of things. However having it around Aunt Flo makes me wonder if something is going on with your iron levels or something like that.

I hope you can figure out what is going on and feel better fast!

Sounds like it could be AF related anemia. I'd go to a doctor and get it checked out.

Ditto...an iron supplement might be all you need to make things right again.

I sometimes get a dizzy spell around AF time. but it only lasts a few seconds and goes away. I notice if I'm taking vitamins and eating good meals then I don't have them. Something that might help you feel better is seabands. I bought a pair at the drugstore, they were about $10 and you put them on your wrists. They are supposed to help with motion sickness\nausea. I cant say they did a lot to help me, but I do wear them when traveling because I get sick easily. I have a friend that swears by them, so they really do help for some people. It might be worth a try.
