I know it's only the end of September but have you thought about Christmas yet? What will your LO's "big" toy be?

She already got her big one early, an iPod touch to go in the Fisher Price case for it.
I guess the other one would be the Pottery Barn Oversized Anywhere Chair.
...and this just seems big to me, because of the size LOL

I can't wait until she's Grace's age---that touch pad thing looks cool that you were talking about.

Honestly, we haven't put too much thought into it yet though. We don't have much room in the apartment so we may wait to buy anything big (physically) until his birthday when we'll be in a house again.

she's going to get a table and chairs set, a dollhouse, fisher price little people set (haven't decided which one) and I'm sure some other things -- these are what I know for sure.

I think one is going to be the Pottery Barn chair that Holly mentioned. Avery loves, loves, loves to sit in any chair like a big girl. It cracks me up that she just chills in any chair small enough for her to climb into.
My biggest problem is that Avery only wants to play with Ethan's toys. It doesn't matter what I buy her, she wants to play with what he's playing with. It's kinda cute that she wants to immitate him so much, but frustrating because she loses the pieces to his race tracks & gets in his way. I'm trying to teach him to share, but don't think it's fair that share means "let your sister take any/all toys from you". So I try not to let her & only really punish him if he grabs stuff out of her hands or throws a fit when she plays with a toy he's not touching (or, of course, hits, but that hasn't been an issue at all with him).

I'm not 100% sure yet either. I was thinking the play kitchen too. I've been eyeing the upholstered armchairs (similar to the PBK ones, only less expensive) at ToysRUs too. I so want to get her one of those...it will definitely be a part of the Santa gifts this year, but more for me than for her...lol.
I'm hitting the toy warehouse sale this weekend for the first time this season. We'll see what mama comes home with! LMAO.

I don't think we're getting much this year. I think my brother might go nuts and buy my 4 year old an iPad (since he doesn't talk, it has an app that can help with that and games to build dexterity). But I am trying to discourage that. Daniel probably really won't get much of anything. I was thinking of wrapping boxes inside of boxes this year. LOL.

I have no idea, considering he has a brother close in age means there really isn't much to get him. Plus they're always outdoors so never really play with the toys they do have. And we're going to be interstate so anything we buy will have to be bought back on the plane. :s

Not sure yet, I don't even know what to get the kids, we were thinking some sort of dancing game for the wii for the big kids. But they all have so many toys and we are planning on being away for Christmas too so we would have to transport it somehow. I'm thinking of telling my in-laws to get year pass for the zoo or something like that.

Jasmine already has a kitchen and deserae loves it. Shes in love with the microwave that Jasmine got for her bday last year. She puts her paci in there and cooks it. lol We were thinking of getting deserae a play house for outside. they have one in her school and she's always in it. So that might be her big toy! Cant wait!

We're getting Grace the Leapstear LeapPad.
Caleb loves shake and go cars so we got him a track and several of the cars.
We are in the middle of moving right now though so Christmas will probably be pretty small.

We don't do a ton of gifts...so I have my eye on this musical set from Target that has a drum, tambourine and some other things to bang.

We have that set Liz! I love it.
We probably won't buy anything for him and if we do it will have to be small or cheap. And with the way things are going with MIL (who would be the one to buy him lots of stuff) it looks like he may only get a few things from my parents and maybe something from my sister.
I'd like to get him one of those FP Laugh and Learn Houses (or maybe the farm or the kitchen one) but I'd need to find it super cheap on CL or consignment and I honestly haven't looked very hard.

Michele, I have the house one ... it was Grace's. Both my kids still play with it all the time. I hate it because it takes up so much room but since they both play with it I can't justify getting rid of it. But, it's a great toy. V would love it! I see them all the time at consignment stores...that's where I got the one we have. I only paid like $25 for it.
