DD is a great at eating ..but when I give her boiled vegetables they come back as it is in her poop..like boiled carrot..mashed peas..boiled broccoli ..plus there are two flavours of baby cereal she absoulutly loves,,one is bfast other one is dinner I am still giving her that in the morning and in the evening mainly because she eats them well and it keeps her full and she eats quickly and I feel satisfied as they clain to have all the good nutrients..for rest of the day I give her normal food/snack which she eats fondly but never seems to fill up her tummy with it and also takes long time to finish meal and sometimes they remain undigested. She is not fond of mashed food..Plus I give her bottle 2-3 times in a day...In your opinion is this all okay/ normal?
Well, Heidi has the green beans castings come through but mainly bc she can't chew her food without teeth. Also, corn and other things that have a skin to them come back into her diaper. I assume it's normal.
At Hallie's 12 month checkup her pedi told us she could have veggies like that but their bodies weren't mature enough to fully digest them yet. It is normal. Hallie has the same thing!
Corn, carrots and things like that come right back out. Even if she eats certain fruits.
But I never thought anything of it since I mean as adults we don't even digest all of certain foods either.
I always see carrots & blueberries in my Lo's diaper. I don't think anyone (babies or adults) can digest corn so that is normal. As for the cereal at night, maybe you can try a whole grain pasta or brown rice with vegetables instead? If she likes the cereal though I am sure it's fine because like you said it has all the nutrients. My LO loves pasta, so I make it often but I try to use whole grain and add veggies to it.
