How are your little ones doing with their fine motor skills development?

Maggie has caught me by a real surprise this last couple of days. It's like suddenly fine motor skills are starting to click, and it's been pretty awesome!

In just the last couple of days, you can give her a toddler spoon and she is able to pick up a small piece of food and get it directly into her mouth. She's able to turn paper pages in a book without tearing them to shreds the first time...and she's doing just one page at a time expertly. This morning we were curling our index finger and motioning her to "come here". Out of the blue she mimicked it perfectly. It's kind of amazing to watch these finite skills evolve from thumping the covers of books back and forth and waving spoons in the air.

I know! London is really good with a spoon now. She hasn't started doing the "come here" motion yet though. It amazes me too how it seems like overnight they change.
