until DH looked after dinner. Then it all went to heck.

I had a waffle for breakfast, a bowl of homemade chili and carrots for lunch, and then DH brought home dinner and it was burgers and onion rings, and ice cream for dessert. But I am not swayed!!! My challenge is that at the same time I declared to start watching what I eat, I had to also put a stop on all cooking at home because of the open houses this week. No odours allowed.

I also did a butt load of cleaning again yesterday and worked up a pretty good sweat trying to get the house ready for agent pictures. So, I'm not beating myself up yet.

This morning was a bowl of cereal and some fruit with Maggie. One step at a time right?

Yes, one step at a time. Also, let's say next time you are faced with burgers, there are things you can do!!

First, make yourself drink 2 glasses of water and eat a small snack....like some carrot sticks while the burgers sit in front of you. Then cut the burger in half and consciousy put it in the fridge and tell yourself you get to eat it for lunch tomorrow.

Also, people usually binge eat at night or really any time because they are hungry and probably cutting too many calories during the day or the day before. Did you eat any snacks on this day? Also, have you put your food into an online calculator to check calories? You may be way too low. And lower is not necessarily better in the weight loss game....because it could cause you to fall off the bandwagon. Definitely don't go below 1500 calories but I probably wouldn't even have someone go that low at first.

Definitely didn't have snacks during the day, and you're right about the calorie count...I was great all day until I hit that dinner...then I fall into the whole thing of well, I've already been this bad, who the heck cares about the ice cream trap.

What is a good calculator from your experience? See how old school I am, I never would have thought such a thing existed. Thank you for the ideas! Keep them coming!!!

You need to get your DH on board and tell him no more burgers and onion rings! If he needs to bring home fast food, there are usually salads or grilled chicken sandwiches (with no mayo) for options.

Personally I have tons of willpower in the grocery store, but if something comes into my house when I'm hungry, forget it! So I make sure bad stuff doesn't make it to my house.

yes...I will have the chat with him again tonight. He has to be the worst sabateur on the planet, and his timing is freaking impeccable.

I heart him...lol.

I dunno...my feeling is there are always going to be people who present you with bad things...so you have to have your own plan. You can't put weight loss on DH...it has to be your thing.

I would just google the calories thing....there are about a billion choices. I use calorie counter on my delis phone but I think it's online too. I love the phone ones if you have a smart phone because there is no excuse not to enter.
