How are you adjusting to the Toddler phase?

Tell us something new that your LO is doing.

Tell us something, non-child related, that's going on in your life.

How are you adjusting to the Toddler phase? Caleb is not walking yet so I refuse to actually refer to him as a toddler..LOL But I love this little personality that is emerging. So far this new phase has been easy.

Tell us something new that your LO is doing. Today, for the first time, he climbed up on his ride on toy by himself. Then he climbed up onto the sofa by himself. He was so proud!

Tell us something, non-child related, that's going on in your life. We are moving. DH accepted a new job in Maryland so we are packing up and trying to get our house ready to put on the Market. We looked at townhomes the other day but didn't see anything we liked. We have learned that it is cheaper to just rent a house then go through a townhouse/apartment complex. So now we are working with a real estate agent and will go look at houses on Saturday...but DH starts his job on Monday! It's going to be tight! LOL

How are you adjusting to the Toddler phase? He's pretty easy, he's starting to do what the bigger kids are doing and I just commented today to dh that the older kids are going to have him potty trained because they always are telling him he's supposed to poop and pee on the potty.

Tell us something new that your LO is doing. He's been walking for a couple weeks now and he's also started running, which is way too cute. He's also saying more sounds but really only says 5 words that are understandable.

Tell us something, non-child related, that's going on in your life. We are in full swing with homeschooling and this is the best year we have had yet!

Ditto!!

I'm Michele and my LO is Vincent

I'm trying hard to think of something "new" he's been doing but the only thing I can think of is the past 3 nights he has slept for 8 hours straight in his crib. Hopefully it's not just a phase and he'll keep doing it. Other than that the newest big thing has probably been repeating a few words (or trying too).

The main thing going on in my life is school right now. I'm in my first semester of my MAT and I have to write a big philosophy of education paper that is due in less than two weeks and I have 2 more big projects and another big paper due over the next 6-8 weeks. I get stressed pretty easily so I'm already nervous about this stuff. Otherwise I really love my classes and I get to start observing a 1st grade class this Thursday which I'm nervous/excited about.

I love this age! She is starting to talk so good, she's more active, I feel <somewhat> more rested!

Tell us something new that your LO is doing.
She loves to stack things. Blocks, bowls, anything she can stack, she tries to stack it.

Then we were in the bathroom this morning and a makeup sponge fell on the floor. Instead of putting things in her mouth automatically, lately she has started to hand them to me. Most of the time she holds it up and says "Yook!" (Look) LOL

Um, the day before I left for Texas we had a new breakfast nook set delivered. The weird thing is that the chairs weren't assembled. Sean started to assemble one and realized that they were going to take 45 minutes a piece....and I was trying to pack so I told him to wait until I was gone. I realize this is totally not exciting but life is pretty uneventful right now! Wait, let me back up, so the delivery people were supposed to put them together but we were out having lunch and Sean only went home to let them in. Since me and the baby were waiting, he just told them not to worry about it. Whoops!

This is a great age. I feel like she is really changing SOOOO fast. So many new words and understanding and new physical developments. She is also stacking things, trying to put shapes into a shape sorting box (and sometimes does it!) she can put her duplos together sometime, she will surprise me with new words all the time (the last 2 have been "climb climb climb" as she climbs the stairs...I always say that, and "turtle"). She tries to sing Row, Row, Row your boat, and she tries to do Itsy Bitsy Spider.
