OK...so can you indulge me in a momentary pity party? Just for a brief little moment...?

I've been watching the ads on tv about the bluray coming out for Lion King, and I've been super eager to buy it and watch it with Maggie. I figured with all the animals and the sound track it would be right up her alley! But I rethought it, and decided I'd do it for Christmas. No sense buying it for her now, when I wouldn't really have time to watch it with her, and Santa has a REALLY big stocking to fill for her anyway!

My nanny went to walmart for me yesterday to pick up a couple things with Maggie, and she saw that they had a deal on for that movie with another one she wanted. So she picked it up for Maggie. So thoughtful, and this is one of the reasons that I love the nanny so much. She is sooo thoughtful, and she cares for Maggie so much. So, I pulled up my big girl panties and didn't say anything because really...nothing to complain about. It's a wonderful thing. But from up here in my office I can hear the theme song playing and Maggie's happy squeals. *sniff* I wanted that.

Dang working thing getting in the way of my life all over again!

OK. back to work.

Aaahh...I'm so getting it for christmas too. I already bought stuffed Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumba. They are all for Christmas for her too.

If it's any consolation I joked to DF that Santa may have to open the DVD first to ensure it works (that's my way of saying I honestly don't know if I can wait until Christmas!).

((Hugss)) I can just imagine. I experience that ALL the time. The good thing is that its your nanny who you love so dearly and who is AWESOME by the way. My MIL did that one year when Caden was 3. My DH and I wanted to buy Caden one of those power wheels cars and we told her that just in conversation and how much he would like it. Well needless to say she went and bought it for him!!! I was livid..so they got the initial reaction and the joy on Caden's face when they delivered it at the house. Sorry to go on my tangent but I totally feel ya....

ya...

Does it ever get any easier? I feel like even though I'm here working from home, I'm still missing so much. That 3 hours at night is just soo rushed, and it never feels like it's enough time with her.

It hasn't gotten eaiser for me one bit! I struggle with it all the time. I try to compensate for it on the weekends, but it leaves me exhausted because I worked all week as well... *sigh*

Look on the bright side: since you WFH you can leave your office door open and hear those excited squeals in the background as you work if you want. I really don't feel like I've missed out on much by WFH, other than my nanny gets to take Juliana to play dates (sometimes with my friends) but it's so worth it to me.

good point Mariah. I wish I worked from home. I picked Syd up at daycare yesterday a bit early and she was sitting in a chair at a kids table (no highchair). that's how I found out she now eats at the little kids table. I had no clue
