Anyone thinking about this already?
Some other moms I know with close in age babies are thinking about it (like, looking for potty seats and stuff) and I just feel like I'm at LEAST a year away from even thinking about it! I mean he doesn't even walk or talk yet. I don't think I'll buy a seat or try to start potty learning until he shows some interest first and knowing him that probably won't be until he's 3. But maybe he'll surprise me.

No I'm not really...I'm just going to wait until she is showing signs, which she is not doing now.

The only way I'm thinking about is "Maybe I'll evaluate at 18 months" I have a feeling I won't start until she is around 2, if she's even ready then. Don't they have to be able to pull their pants up and down first?

We are!!! She is SO into it! I am not pushing it at all. she's been very potty aware since around 12 months and is now taking off her diapers when she pees or poos and asking to sit on the potty chair. she has not peed/pood in it yet but she sits on it all the time. we're going to go with the flow but i bet she'll be potty trained by 18 months!

We have seats that go on the potty that we will use, I got them for $1 each at a yard sale. I don't think he'll start though until probably next summer unless he shows signs earlier.

That is so cute Kristen! Looking at that list that Shantel posted we are so far away from any of those things. I haven't thought about what kind of potty seat to get yet either.

Aaron is showing almost all of the physiological signs of readiness but none of the others so we're no where near trying.
Unless he really starts showing an interest I'm not going to even try until after we move next May.

We are nowhere near there. I might buy a potty seat soon just for the heck of it but I doubt she'll be potty trained before 2.

I don't think we're any where near either. Leah takes off her diaper whenever she doesn't have pants on, and I've caught her trying to strip down her clothes a few times. She's not bothered by pooping or peeing in her diaper. I think if I let her, she'd walk around in a soiled diaper all day. When she starts acknowledging the potty and talking more, maybe then we'll reevaluate. I'm thinking that will be around 2.

I am thinking about it for Eleanor, but not anytime soon for Max. Reid just finished potty training a few months ago so its been nice to have a bit of a break but Eleanor is more than ready to start now.

I'll be honest I'm thinking about it, but Maggie has entirely different opinions on it for sure. We're nowhere near that yet!

I will probably start 'toilet awareness' soon as in we will get a potty and let him sit on it and stuff and let him run around naked much more. He has started noticing when he does a wee so I think it's time for us. We started casually with Noah at around 16 months and he was trained by 24.

Honestly, I'm not going to try until 2. We're going on vacation next summer and I would rather just change diapers than worrying about her peeing her pants LOL! I think she's getting close to being ready, she kind of goes off to poop in her diaper if she can all of the sudden....it's so cute

Nope and I'm not even planning on starting until after his 2nd birthday. I honestly don't mind changing diapers. Grace was trained at 2 1/2 and she was soooo easy. She pretty much trained herself BUT I hated the whole process. Everytime we would get to the back of the store she would have to go....everytime we got in the car...everytime it wasn't a good time.. The one thing I did with Grace though that I will repeat with Caleb is we stayed home for a week and went straight to underware. We skipped the pull-up phase all together. Once she was trained during the day she was also trained through the night. I never had to spend money on pull-ups LOL.
I'm in no hurry at all. Caleb isn't showing any signs either though...he's not even walking yet.

Kristen, that's pretty amazing! I am still trying to work on potty training with my almost 3 year old! She can do it but puts up such a fight and I don't want to traumatize her or get into a power struggle, so it's been rough. My oldest was about 3, so I'm not too worried....yet.
I'm thinking Kellen will be easier than the girls. He already goes over and sits on the potty on command, or if he's feeling like it. I don't think he associates it with his business but I feel like it's a step in the right direction! He also walks over to me and lays on the floor with his legs in the air after a #2...lol. Here's to hoping I can get my final two out of diapers before next summer. I won't hold my breath though.
