Thinking back to your childhood, what were some of your most memorable Halloween costumes?

Hmmm we used to make our own. We always went with our best friends who lived door and came up with group costumes mostly. I remember one year being robots we made out of cardboard boxes, being pioneer girls, a cat, twins with my best friend, ugh its hard to remember them all now without digging out photos. I remember we would plan months in advance and start making them though. Halloween has always been one of my most favorite holidays!

My mom used to make all our costumes growing up. So those were always my most memorable. In fact, I think the entire time we were trick or treating age, there was only ever 1 costume we bought part of for me.
Most favourites - my mom made my brother an alien and me an angel. She made his wig with yarn, spray paint and (if you're old enough to remember these) stocking eggs. LOL. She made my wings with stockings and wire hangers. She also did a princess lea costume for me one year. Again, the chignons were made from stockings!
This is what I want most for Maggie's halloween's and it kinda makes me sad that I don't have the time and energy to do these things. My mom didn't work a full time job when she was making these costumes for us which I know makes a huge difference. I know she still spent many hours well into the dead of night making them, but still. Maggie has yet to wear something I made on my own. Guess there's at least next year!

Let's see we normally made our on costumes. One year my mom did buy us one, I think I was 7. Anyway I was a Care Bear...lol...Over the years I was a baby, chearleader, vampire, clown, pregnant chick...so many can't name them all. In college my costumes were always something so inappropriate for me to wear now as a mom.. Freshman year I was a nurse..ha ha and I had fish net pantyhose. My Sophmore year in college I was a sexy cat and wore a cat suit!

I don't remember many. I know I was a witch one year. I had those pj's that had glow in the dark skeleton bones that I wore one year. And my aunt made us Star Trek Starfleet uniforms so I wore that one year. Apparently we've never been too creative with Halloween costumes.

My mom made all of our costumes of course the princess was a favorite, I also liked the bunny. My oldest ds has worn the clown costume a couple of times and that is over 30 years old now.

My most memorable... I was a race car driver one year. I wore a motorcycle helmet and a leather jacket which my dad had put duct tape numbers on the back of. I was a grown-up lady many times, make-up and a head scarf.

I was a "punk rocker" back in the late 80's early 90's. I thought I was pretty cool...lol. Then, I was the Queen of Hearts one year. Looking back, I'd have to say the homemade costumes were the most memorable.
In college I was always something PG-13...lol.
