I threw them all in the trash this morning. Tommy hasn't had one in 3 days and doesn't seem to miss it at all. I thought he was going to give up a bigger fight. I've been just giving his cup instead of bottles and finally drinks his milk out of the cup. I have to say, it made me a bit sad throwing them away.

It thought is was going to be more of an issue because I let him have the bottle in his crib. In the last week I just kept offering him the cup with milk, I didn't give him anything else in it. Because he was throwing it at first too. Then the last few days before nap and bed I gave him the cup of milk but haven't put it in his crib. He fussed for about a minute and fell asleep. Not to mention he has been sleeping through the night for the last few nights as well. So now we are offically on day 3 with not bottles at all. So I am tossing them so he doesn't see it and want it.

Go Tommy!
Brendan drinks his water no problem out of a sippie and at daycare he will drink his milk like a champ. Not so much at home. He only wants his bottles. I'm not sure what to do about that one, but I'm super proud of Tommy

He didn't sleep through the night until there was no more bottle. I don't why it happened at the same time but it makes me happy.

I know, I'm not sure what is was. I'm thinking he really just needed to "suck" on something to get him back to sleep and he knew the bottle was there. IDK. But it is weird on how they both happened together.

If he lets you, give it a try. It might work out.

what cup did you find that he likes?

also weird thing today, i had a glass of milk and put a straw in it for him to use
he was totally all about the straw, maybe i should just get the cups with the straw in it and not even bother with the sippy cups

I would give it a try. Tommy loves to drink out of cups with straws.

the playtex kind with the straws instead of the sippy spout, he wont use any sort of sippy cup but hes loving his straw cups. The only downside is i cant give it to him in bed because he tries to lay down and drink it, and of course that doesnt work

This is a good idea, I'm going to try that. Joey won't drink milk out of a sippy cup at all, he gets mad and trows it. He has never tried a straw before, so maybe he would like it since it's something new & different.

YAY Tommy!
It is so bittersweet. I was sad when we did the switch with Rosie. Means our babies are growing up and that isn't suppose to happen yet..lol
Glad he is sleeping for you too.

The Playtex cups with straws are great! That's all we use now.
