When you feed your LO do you let them go all out or do you try to contain the mess?

What about playing outside...do you let them jump in the puddles are do you "help" them avoid water and mudd?

How often do you bathe your LO?

I let him go all out when he eats, and I let him get dirty and play how he wants outside

He gets a bath every night, it's part of bedtime routine

it depends ...if we aren't going anywhere or she is getting a bath, then I let her go to town. If it's morning and she's getting ready for daycare I tend to feed her less messy things so I don't have to completely hose her down from head to toe when she is done.

she is now insisting on using cutlery (loves using a spoon), so it's super messy and she takes awhile to eat but she loves it so I don't mind the mess. She looks so proud eating with her spoon

Well I'm a little different. Im not really a fan of messy things. I have actually loosened up since having Caden. Typically I allow London to eat how she wants, but it really depends like Ally said on the circumstances and if we have plans. If we do have plans I give them foods that aren't messy and clear liquids. If she is eating something messy she will usually eat in just a diaper and I will put her in the tub immediately after. I would do a bib, but she hates them and will take it off.

Now mudd and water puddles we avoid at all cost. I haven't let loose with that yet! lol..if I do let her play outside I dress her in play clothes. Both kids get baths nightly.

This is the way I want to be...I think this is best for them to learn.

Except I am totally not like this. I usually always feed her if its messy. I just hate cleaning her so I don't let her get messy. I give her a bath every night, but I don't like her getting me messy as I carry her to the bath.

I'm really not obsessive compulsive LOL just lazy. I need to let her get messy.

If we aren't going anywhere, I let him make a mess. (My dogs are excellent helpers in the floor cleanup. LOL) If it's something particularly messy or I'm just pressed for time, I feed him.

As far as playing outside, he's free to get as dirty as he wants. That's what washing machines & bathtubs are for. I remember having to be hosed off in the yard before going inside many a time in my childhood.

Owen gets a bath every night.

LOL ^^^

Caleb is allowed to get messy when he eats. He is usually covered with food. When we are outside he usually doesn't get that messy only because he's not walking. I don't let him crawl around in the dirt because he would eat everything on the ground. Now, Grace jumps in every single puddle she sees. The only time I mind in when we are heading to church and she has good shoes on. If it's raining I have learned to just put her in her rain boots. LOL. I have also had to hose off Grace a few times before we came inside.

When you feed your LO do you let them go all out or do you try to contain the mess? I let him get messy the only things I won't let him feed himself are yogurt and applesauce.

What about playing outside...do you let them jump in the puddles are do you "help" them avoid water and mudd? He's free to go where he wants and play, however we haven't been going outside too much lately because it's too muddy even for the older kids. If we do it is to the park.

How often do you bathe your LO? At least every Tuesday and Saturday and as needed in between.

This is pretty much how we do it here too. If I'm honest, she really doesn't get very messy very often. And we don't really let her run hog wild outside yet. I've let her tour around the back yard on her own, but generally it's from the door to the car, and that's as far as she goes on a given day. It's been too damp and cold to go doing fun stuff outside lately.

She's given baths for sure on Wed and Sundays, and whenever needed in between. I found bathing her every day was drying out her skin, but it's probably also why she avoids baths now. Can't win.
