How often are you clipping your LO's nails? What do you use? And how do you make them sit through it (or do you do it when they sleep?)

About once a week. I use clippers and try to sing songs. She is okay with her fingernails but absolutely won't let me clip her toenails anymore. I basically have to pin her foot for a minute and listen to her scream and do as many as I can. When she was little I would do it while she was asleep in the baby carrier, but I haven't tried to do it while she sleeps in the crib.

About once each week. I do it while she's chilling out before bed. She's generally still awake, but dosey and less inclined to fight back. I do her fingers and her toes in alternate weeks. No getting her to sit there for both very often. She's finally to a point where she's intrigued by what I'm doing, so she let's me do what I have to do. We still use baby clippers.

Twice a week. I sit him on the changing table, which is front of a window, and distract him by letting him look outside. Our dog, Bo, is usually lying under Owen's window, so Owen talks to Bo while I clip. Last time I clipped his nails, I let him brush his teeth. The kid loves his toothbrush, so that was a good distraction tactic, too.

I do it about once a week with nail clippers. I'll admit to being the bad mommy and sitting him in my lap and letting him watch TV to distract him.

Whenever I can! Sometimes when she's distracted, sometimes when asleep, but I can usually only get 2 or 3 at a time before she's had enough. It's very frustrating and it seems like her nails are always too long.

I don't have to clip Leah's nails too often. Maybe once every other week. I usually put her in my lap and give her the extra finger nail clipper. She likes to pretend like she's clipping her toenails while I clip her nails. I've only had to clip her toenails like 2 or 3 times. They just don't hardly grow...is that weird?

IDK...but I bet its fine..I trim London's every other week right after a bath. She does ok, but not great. I normally give her something to distract her.

When I cut the girls' nails, Kellen gets jealous and holds his hand in my face until I cut his....it's too funny. It takes him getting jealous to cooperate. I'd say I cut them as as soon as I notice that they're sharp!

When ever Maddy lets me! lol. She can not sit still for more then a minute. I usually have to wait until my husband gets home to distract her. It was really easy when she was little. Sometimes I miss those days! lol.
