With all of this talk of potty training, for those of you who have one what kind of potty chair do you have? What makes a good potty chair? I imagine easy to clean is near the top of the list. I think I might as well order one even though Juliana is not showing any signs of being ready.

We've always just used the one that you sit on the potty and all our kids have done fine with that.

Yeah I was thinking of getting the kind that you put on the potty...I don't want to clean out the ones they sit on the ground.

Well I think I'm going to start out with the regular potty chair on the ground for her to get use to it. Then I'm going to migrate to the seat one that you put on the toilet. Caden used the one that Kenna was sitting on that kristen posted but it was blue. I'm not sure what kind I'm going to buy londy, but it probably will be that one in pink.

I think the potty chair on the ground may be easier for her to get on and off when we are in the initial stages of training. Then again I'm not sure maybe the seat is easier.

We had/have both a tiny potty and the seat. The big toilet scared DD1. After she was more than 50% potty trained, we started using the seat more. By this time, she knew how to push her foot stool over to the toilet and get sat down, and she had for the most part gotten over her fear of the toilet.
Our potty chair from DD1. It was pretty easy to clean the #1s and 2s.

With all my girls I had a sit on the ground potty for a long time until they were big enough for the real potty. It didnt really bother me to clean it.

I have never pottied trained a boy, and not sure how so I will ask my mom what she did for my little brother and use what kind worked for her I suppose. Ty is still so baby that he is light years from being potty trained!

My plan was also to use one of the potty chairs to start off with too. If I can get her mimicking me when I go, then I'm hoping that will help her get the drift of it. We'll transition to the portable seat when she's ready for it. I'll be sure to get a foldable one for my bag on the run too.

I really, really, really hate cleaning poop out of a potty chair. I can change the poopiest diapers with no problem but for some reason poop in a potty chair makes me gage and dry heave. LOL

I used this one for Grace and will use it for Caleb when he's ready: 3-in-1 Toilet Trainer, Potty Seat & Step Stool, Potty Training

That's cool, Heather! I've not seen one of those before. We just have our same plain ol potty seat that both of my girls used. It's totally basic with a lid and a cup that you dump out. We'll use that until he's big enough to get on the big potty.

we just got this one: Target:Fisher Price Ducky Fun 3-in-1 Potty
recently from Target online....it was delievered so we set it up for Wyatt to get used to seeing it and play a little with it....next will be to take him in to the bathroom with me and sit him on it when I go to get him into the idea of it...

he already tells us when his diaper needs to be changed...so hopefully this will be a smooth process
